Is Lance Armstrong also banned from this so-called eSports?

It will be great if some clan can send some teams over.

1. Can i bet on the winner?

2. Is the use of peptides allowed?

I can be highly paid without playing if so.....

Thats nice.

What is not appreciated is that lots of people really like our weekly Showdown and Rumble tourneys. This is one of the main reasons I moved to SEA. I like my chances being 1 of 40 teams in a local tourney better than 1 of 45,000 in the sports league.

I think almost all players chance to win anything in this league will be slightly above nil. As this league will be dominated by the top 1-2% of players, like all pro sports, that will leave little for the rest of us. Think about it, when you combine all the servers 1-2% is A LOT OF REALLY GOOD PLAYERS.

I sincerely hope I am proved wrong but as I see it this Pro eSports League will have me saying thanks, but no thanks  :Smile_sad:

he new league is currently scheduled to launch in the first quarer of 2013, and will adopt the format of traditional competitive gaming by way of regular regional tourneys and playoffs leading up to a Grand Finals. Wargaming's CEO, Victor Kislyi, has this to say about the development of the Wargaming.net League

Just to clear it up for you in case you misread it.

My biggest problem is my clan team is scattered between NZ and Oz. As I am based at the bottom of the SI of NZ means at best there will a NZ tournament probably in Auckland. This creates two issues 1) getting into NZ team and 2) getting to the tournament.  Hard to justify to my wife that I am off for the weekend playing "that stupid game" (her words not mine) :Smile_amazed:

Still it will be good to watch the replays to see strategies and tactics. Good luck to all that do participate and thanks WG for the initiative. :Smile_great:

Hopefully the local tournaments still have prizes other than 'chance to compete in finals elsewhere'. Can we get any details of what these local tournaments are likely to be and will they be close enough to the existing Showdown and Rumble tournaments?

The post is nice but it's completely lacking in any useful detail considering it's been said that this weeks showdown and rumble will be the last.

There was nothing in that announcement that we already didn't know...

Kinda makes it useless.
