But probably a more expensive roadblock to your opponents ..

Word of advice - the t69's 90mm top gun (T178) is somewhat underwhelming, given the vehicles speed and size - penetration wise (in its tier) - and perhaps should not be used as a benchmark to measure the rest of the US auto-loader tree.

If the art of war were nothing but the art of avoiding risks, glory would become the prey of mediocre minds.

Tog is better. And it only costs 3500. Gold.
But the TOG isn't the heaviest tank in the game. When you roadblock something with a Maus, and it gets killed, it's stuck. Given the extra terrain resistance you get on a tank thats dead, even another Maus would have issues pushing it.

But the HEAT has 300mm, enough to punch through even the toughest tier Xs.

When I was in SNTR before, all of us 14 tanks are ordered to be a roadblock with only one arty defending. Funny as hell and crazy too.

Maus is a 6.1 million roadblock. Put it on a bridge and it's blocked for the game.

It is in fact, possible to push a dead Maus. It just requires more horsepower than the average pubbie team is capable of coordinating into 1 spot.

The latest RNG featured a team pushing some wreck as mobile cover.

Saw it again to confirm. Was death star.

Ah, so it would require multiple high horsepower tanks pushing the actual dead Maus? interesting. I wonder what would happen if you parked two dead Mause on the Mountain Pass bridge...

This.

Since the bridge can be bypassed easily and you lost 2 Maus for nothing.

Two Maus should sufficiently block off the entire bridge methinks.

Although big fat arty magnets.

Blocking the bridge means nothing if you dont also block the bowl, the 1/2 line, and the ice road.

IS-7 is probably one of the worse HT in tier 10......... the gun sucks when it doesn't pen, the pen is weaker than an IS-8 using gold ammo and IS-8 is tier 9 ONLY.

Makes me wonder am I driving a thicker armor IS-8 with a downgraded gun, a gun downgrade in a tier 10 tank that really sucks?

Shooting from a distance with 100% crew will end up in a miss most of the time...... the gun accuracy is just not there for shooting from distance.... no accuracy, no good pen to damage any thick armor tier 10 tank right in their face...... I wonder how one can fare well.

Many tier 10 HT have high damage gun with good pen maybe slower reload but when it hits the damage is extreme, IS-7 damage is good when it hits, but the low pen makes it harder to actually damage any tanks again I am refer to thickly armor TD/HT at tier 9/10 which i see and encounter so many times that they can finish me on a 1 vs 1 and I can at most half their HP........ lol.......

The tank is fast and work if you can flank and shoot the side or back of any tanks, but in high tier battle that is not quite possible if they match your IS-7 against the pretty common E-100 that I encounter most of the time..... you can't face it in the front and shoot it directly without aiming properly........ if you take your time to aim, you can going to take 1 shot from that high damaging gun of E-100 that can half or 1/3 the HP of an IS-7 and most of the time the E-100 is not alone........ so taking a 2nd shot is not an option unless you want to get a 2nd shot from another tank.

IS-7 frontal armor is not godly most people know how to shot will pen it easily.
Conclusion, if you want a tier 10 HT as a keeper, I suggest an E-100 or T110E5, which are way better than IS-7 but of course I have not played those 2 tanks I mentioned yet, but I believe from my encounter with these tanks, they are way better in term of armor and gun penetration which makes a tier 10, "TIER 10"
IS-7 felt like a MT of a HT in tier 10 without the speed that other MT in tier 10 have.

The pen of an IS-7 is probably the worse in Tier 10 tanks using gold or not using gold ammo. If you can't pen, you can't win :) So this makes IS-7 the worse tier 10 in this game............ lol

Not really

With 8.6 the IS 7's armour is gonna be even more bouncier plus all Tier 10s get a pen nerf

Unfortunately your point about the IS 7's accuracy is quite valid :(

I do not think that way :) I have played IS-7 in beta testing and I did a lot of contribution to the team and we always win :) hehehe

Well maybe in beta you don't encounter as many thickly armored TD/HT, e.g. E-100, T110E4, JagdPz E-100, etc......
Since it's a beta most people who own a tier 10 might not be playing in it, since they owned it and just want to try out the new tanks in the beta release.
I can only help by listing out how bad the IS-7 based on the current version.
1) Lousy accuracy of the gun when shooting/snipping from a distance

2) Armor is weak though it's slopped but it can be pen easily by those high pen/he shell of other tier 10s

3) Damn low HP for a HT, imagine in an arty heavy match, you can only take 2/3 arty shot before you die, while other HT like Maus/E-100 can take a couple more of arty shots before they die. If you are shot by one of those tier 10s that can do 800 to 900 damage, you only need to get shot by the arty once before you die, unlike batchat it can run away with it's speed but an IS-7 can't....... lol.......

4) It's slightly faster speed is almost negligible if you take the speed of those tier 10 MT into consideration.
