With the BL-10 it's a good tank until you get spotted.

Once a medium or light gets the jump on you it's all over though, the thing has the maneuverability of a school bus.

Stay at range and pray to the BL-10 god for a hit, when it does hit, it makes just about anyone crap their pants.

Just got the BL-10 after a painful grind with the 122 from the SU. Totally transforms the tank, I used to hate it, now I love it. Can one-shot almost anything below tier 6, and most other tanks can be dealt with in 2-3 shots. Not a good tank to go all commando on, but amazing if you have support.

Seem to be hitting a lot of tanks gown to 1% health, which is depressing. Handy to have a high ROF tank nearby to finish them off - otherwise a waste of ~12 second of reload and about 1200credits.

I've just unlocked this tank (haven't bought it yet) and I'm in two minds about how to proceed. I can spend almost 79,000 free XP on the tracks and BL-10 and start enjoying it immediately, but have only a few thousand free XP remaining which means waiting longer for my T30 (not buying that til I can immediately upgrade it!). Alternatively, I can strap on either the 122 or the 152 and load a lot of HE on the basis that in a tier 10 match, the 175mm of pen from AP on the 122 just won't cut it. But then I'm almost strictly a support tank with crappy accuracy, which just doesn't make much sense either. I've managed a pubbies only 56% WR in the SU-152, but haven't really enjoyed it, and given that the non-upgraded ISU would be much the same but slightly worse in higher tier matches, I'm not a massive fan of the idea of a painful grind to get the BL-10.

Decisions, decisions! What have others experienced?

I have to sell my 152 in exchange to SU-100M1. typically, 152 is just to heavy for me to drive.

I used free exp to get the tracks and the gun. At Tier VIII, the derp is too inaccurate and you're too soft. It would be painful. Sure, you could save a few more exp by researching the lower-power gun but why would you do that? All you've done is increase the grind to the Object as you're going to have to research the BL-10 anyway. Yes, people who take the 704 out with the stock gun should be taken aside an shot.
Nothing settles a territorial debate like punching holes in armour plate.

Thanks VanPelt. You're right about the 44k XP 122 gun, there's no way I'd spend that much free XP and still have to grind for the main gun! Ok, we have 1 vote for free XP'ing all the way. Anybody else?
