Well, I started piecing together some 1/72  and 1/35 tank scale models roughly two months ago. Been hampered by time, availability and most of all - lack of funds (damn j00 college education T_T). But anyway, here's the four tanks I've pieced together :)

Great effort in put in there.

The KV-2 looks rather appealing in small scale.

I've done my Tiger model in more than a decade ago and I've painted it gold, cause I'm no good at painting.

Not to mention that it was a breeze to put together :) the 1:35 Trumpeter kit is really cheap too imho. The entire Trumpeter KV series is for sale at around 10-14 in US Dollars.

And yes. I have half a mind to leave the tanks unpainted too T_T I suck at art haha.

How did you find the DS one piece tracks? I've not used them yet but most reviews seem pretty positive.

They look nice and most of them can be manipulated for sag. Although I haven't glued mine yet (I only locked the pieces together but I haven't used cement yet, waiting for paint)- a friend told me that regular cement works in holding them together. Be careful about over-stretching the parts though - the King Tiger's left track broke after I tried stretching it into place onto the hull... at least I can glue them back together with regular cement as mentioned.

Unfinished, I spend about an hour a week on it, but one day.....

Click on pics, they are big and might be distorted.

Yes, the crew members are only undercoated. Detail painting needs to be done, and then....shading and toning. Sigh

Awesome work FG! Which company manufactured that PZ IV? Is it tamiya's or Academy's? Great detail and good work on the zimmerit :) Nice tracks too.

And yeah. Shading and toning's can be a tough dog sometimes hehe

The only issue is that they are harder to get the correct amount of sag than individual links, and become very brittle with age. On that model, they are as rigid as a cured set of individual linked tracks.

I like individual links only for the end result, the cleaning up of them can be a real nightmare, but I use a low speed grinding bit on my Dremel to get rid of the ejector marks when I use them.
