It's too far away, I'm not coming.

...legions of gaming and anime fans all over Asia.

I don't know why, but I find that somewhat frightening.

All pre-9.5 tier I through VI tanks played and elited.

Resurrected, and battle ready.

meh. Earn a free ticket, plane tickets cost more. Also not enough motivation sources. I'm surprised that WG convinced the voice actresses to come though and its collaboration with GuP, as that wasn't something I was expecting when I first got this game. I initially got this game as a tank sim but it's nothing like one, damage models are correct but the attack modules are sometimes buggy (i.e. 20mm penetration AP hits front of tank, engine at the back of the tank gets damaged, track damaged and gun barrel damage) but now (as an anime fan) I'm just here for the GuP tanks oddly enough.

edit: fixed typo

Gee, you're not part of the group of players that this little reward is aimed at. How terrible! WG should definitely drop this, and anything else that's not aimed at your directly. In fact, drop the whole game show appearance, since you won't be going. Forget the other tens of thousands of regular players on this server; WoT is really just all about you, right?

Yes, it's very clearly not a tank sim. Most people figure that out when they realize that very few tanks have ever actually been driven while the commander was looking down on it from several dozen meters above and behind the tank.

So now that you've figured this out, months after you've joined, are you going to quit? Or criticize the game that is, rather than just complaining that it's not some utterly different game? (There's plenty to criticise in both WoT and the way it's run, but "gameplay X isn't realisitic" and "one reward Y out of the zillions available doesn't suit me" are both just lame.
