World of Tanks will be conducting maintenance for Update 8.11 on the server & portal on 13 February, 2014.

I still welcome this update though I was earlier dismayed over the TD nerf but I guess all can still have fun.

By rights those OP german auto loaders and the russian TD's should be nerfed...not my under powered, under gunned E4

Turn off torrents in the launcher settings, that will speed it up a bit normally.

how do I do that please? its never been this slow before, its taken 15 mins to d/l 135 MB. its not my ISP or my ethernet.

With the launcher open click on the little spanner icon in the top right corner.

 

Make sure the tick box for allow torrents is unchecked.

 

Push ok. Launcher will restart and you're done.

 

EDIT - BE AWARE THIS WILL RESET YOUR PROGRESS TO ZERO ON THE DOWNLOAD.

 

The download will start again from 0. So maybe don't bother if you're already most of the way into downloading.
