E-25

HP: 830

Armor: 50/30/30

Penetration: 150/194/38

Damage: 135/135/175

History

The development of the E-25 was a part of the "E" program, supervised by the Waffenprüfamt 6 committee. The E-25 was developed by the Argus company (Karlsruhe, Germany) under the supervision of Dr. Herman Klaue. No prototypes were manufactured. Used in World of Tanks training rooms to troll the "Maus".

Overview

The E-25 is a Tank Destroyer (TD) that can fit many variations of scout and sniper roles. With a top speed of  65km/h that is easily reached, this little TD is more than capable of getting to a scouting spot or a great forward sniping spot where you can pressure the enemy while they are still arriving. Sure, the gun's stats aren't great, but do the math and see that RoF... well. Like Jingles once stated, "German tanks are known for their RoF, the damage per shot is nothing compared to other tanks but it's Damage per Minute is usually the best in its tier." While this may look like an ELC AMX with a pew pew gun (and is actually a decent comparison), its armor is terrible - but with it's angling, you can bounce a shot off tier 7 heavies if your lucky (think Hetzer pre-nerf sloped front). With your speed and camo rating your main defence, you can use your low height to side-hug tanks since their elevation is likely to be unable to hit you.

Cost

While this does cost 6700 gold, which is more on the expensive side of things, I believe that this tank is worth it.

Pros

- Amazing speed and mobility
- Very low silhouette, only slightly bigger than the ELC AMX
- Insane RoF - a round every 3 seconds
- Excellent camo rating
- Can scout (if needed)
- Outstanding accuracy (0.3m), far superior to the regular 7,5 cm StuK 42 L/70

- Great hull traverse (44d/s)
- Can be played as a ghost recon sniper
- Very useful for quick support
- Premium Matchmaking, max tier it can see is tier VIII (Eight)
- Catastrophic damage per minute
- Annoyingly well-sloped mantlet can bounce the occasional shell

Cons

- Virtually no armor except for the mantlet which might bounce a shell occasionally.

- Relatively small ammo capacity of 60 rounds which would run out quick given it's RoF.

- Crew dangerously exposed to fire, especially the driver

- Low alpha of 169 damage and 150 penetration for it's tier.

Equipment setups

Camping Sniper N00b

This setup will let you stay at the back of the group, supporting your allies, but trusting your base camo values to substitute your camo net for a gun laying drive.

- Binocular Telescope

- Gun Laying Drive

- Medium Caliber Tank Gun Rammer

Assault/Flanker

Use this to circle tanks and get around to pressure the enemy and get those flank/rear shots in. Also used for arty hunting. Recommended for medium tank drivers.

- Improved Ventilation Class 2

- Medium Caliber Tank Gun Rammer

- Coated Optics

Ghost Recon Sniper

Used to sit at the back in a bush and rain down support fire from a bush. Recommended for artillery players and camping tank destroyer players.

- Camo Net

- Binocular Telescope/Coated Optics (Depends on your playstyle, if you camp often go for binocs, if your more aggressive use optics)

- Medium Caliber Tank Gun Rammer

Kamikaze Suiscout

Use this if your really n00b and don't know how to use scouts. Recommended for pubbies. Ooooh, those pubbies (Like me :3 ).

- Medium Spall Liner (At top speed, you can ram kill some lighter tanks and scouts)

- Coated Optics

- Enhanced Belleville Washers/Gun Rammer (If you can't handle the speed and constantly drop from hills and ridges, use the washers)

Passive INVISI-HAX Scout/Sniper

Use this setup to sit in a bush and abuse your low-caliber gun, camo values and spotting range with this. Recommended for passive scout tank users.

- Camo Net

- Binocular Telescope

- Gun Rammer/Vents (Do you want better RoF or better camo value?)

Hit 'n' Run Tank Hugger

Use this setup to get in close to enemy tanks and use your low height to hug tanks (we've all been the victim of this - either by an ELC or E25)

- Medium Spall Liner

- Coated Optics

- Medium Caliber Gun Rammer

Crew Skills recommendations

Commander(Radio Operator) - Sixth Sense, Camo, Recon, Situational Awareness, Brothers in Arms

Gunner- Camo, Snap Shot, Designated Target , Brothers in Arms

Driver- Camo, Clutch Braking, Offroad Driving, Preventative Maintenance, Brothers in Arms

Loader- Camo, Safe Stowage, Adrenaline Rush, Brothers in Arms

The E-25 is a great little tank with a high camo rating, simillar to the ELC. With not much armor for the crew, Jack of all Trades is a viable option over Recon/Situational Awareness. Repairs aren't recommended as any player that has used the ELC AMX before knows that once your tracked, game over. You need Sixth Sense and a full camo crew as having these will almost double your survivability chance.

Overall

Overall, I would give this tank a 7/10. When used correctly, this can and will turn the tides of any battle. Really awesome fun to play (used in CT and got advice from others) and great fun in a platoon.

Final shout-out to Elite911 and karl0ssus1 for being great mates in torturing me when I won AVANT_Freshmeat's 1250 gold draw, but my internet cut out so he re-drew it. Also a shoutout to AVANT_Freshmeat for his awesome streams! Everyone should check out his twitch channel to hear how WG SEA mods sing see Freshmeats elite tanking skillz!

:L Oh well at least you did mention me... I won't fault you for using a similar format as me though. :)

The stats of a 15~ fps player.

I now play with 40 - 60 FPS average.

For long range sniping aim at  the Weak spots for higher tiers and any spot for lower tiers, while if u are on scout mode stay alert and avoid getting spotted, the trick is that all u need is six sense and a help from ally, also the E-25 is Miracle tank it can to surprise attacks (Surprise buttsecks) from its rear it helps alot as long as there is controlled Impact Perk.

for ammo Usage since its 60 always prepare 50 AP and 10 APCR  shells or much prefer to prepare 40 AP and 20 APCR
also try not to do Head on, try to flank em around and aim at the sides or at the tracks. this might help for the allies, in addition make a good advantage to its camo, make use of the bushes to hide since the camo rating is very high especially with camo net + camo skin and Camo Perk on all crew.

all in all the E-25 is a good Multi Role tank both CQB,Sniping and Scout. all it needs is a good skill on using Fast Light tanks like ELC.

E-25 Tank Destroyer

The E-25 is a German tier VII light tank destroyer. Part of the Entwicklung series, the E-25 was designed as a replacement for the aging Panzer IIIs and Panzer IVs to standardize and streamline the production process.

Statistics

Hitpoints - 830

Unsurprisingly, due to the small size of the E 25, its healthpool is rather small, tied in second last place with the SU-100M1 and only surpassing the French AMX AC mle. 46. Needless to say, you cannot afford to take many hits with the E 25.

Weight - 26.3/29t

Engine - 700hp

HP/Tonne - 26.6hp/t

Top Speed - 65km/h

The E 25 has a legendary top speed more commonly seen on scouts. This top speed is not a theoretical paper top speed either, as the power to weight ratio of the E 25 surpasses even that of the tier VII lights. (T71-23.6hp/t    AMX 13 75-19.74    WZ-131-24hp/t). This gives the E 25 the ability to outrun nearly every tank it encounters and makes it very easy for an E 25 driver to disengage from combat.

Traverse Speed - 44 deg/s

In terms of agility, the E 25 is no slouch either. 44 deg/s might not be light tank level, but it isn't far behind. Still, due to the sheer speed the E 25 tends to travel at, this can result in understeering.

Armour - 50/30/30

As can be seen, the armor of the E 25 is pretty much non existent. The thickest portion of the E 25's armour is a mere 80mm around the gun mantlet. Do not expect to bounce any shots from any tank, including low tier scouts. Side armor can be easily overmatched by any gun with a calibre of 90mm or larger. Also, due to the E-25's small size, if you do take a hit you are very likely to sustain module/crew damage, especially if HE was involved.

Gun - 7,5 cm Pak 42 L/70

Rate of Fire - 20 rpm

Penetration - 150/194/38

Damage - 135/135/175

Dispersion at 100m - 0.3m

Aiming time - 1.5s

The gun on the E 25 is basically an upgraded version of the top gun on the Stug III. While relatively fast firing on the Stug, it turns into an autocannon on the E 25, spewing out one round every three seconds. Throw in vents, rammer and BiA and you end up with a reload speed that looks straight out of an autoloader tank. The alpha isn't that bad either, 135 for an autocannon with no clip size is not bad. As a result, the paper DPM of this tank is ridiculous, 2700DPM with a 100% crew. Accuracy isn't that shabby either, what was a respectable 0.33m on the Stug has now become a laser beamish 0.3m, tied for second most accurate gun in WoT. Aiming time of 1.5s is also really good, making it easy to hit weakspots from long range.

However, as the gun is still, after all, a 7.5cm L/70, the penetration of the gun is still 150mm with AP. You will start to notice a lot of bounces as you play. APCR is strongly recommended for situations where you simply cannot hit any weakspots on the enemy tank. 194mm for APCR is good enough for most situations, however it is still no silver bullet. That coupled with the dramatic APCR pen drop over distance will still result in bounces.

View Range - 360m

This may be one of the E 25's bigger weaknesses. While not as blind as the Soviet tank destroyers, 360m of view range is seriously unimpressive. If you are spotting your own targets, there is a chance that the enemy is close enough for them to spot you after you fire, especially if it is a scout tank. Always keep this in mind when driving the E 25, especially if you do not have optics or binocs installed.

Signal range - 710m

Nothing to see here, moving on.

Pros

Incredible Camo Rating

The E 25 has one of the best camo ratings in the game. When combined with a camo skill, camo net and paint, a stationary E 25 (that has not fired) is virtually impossible to spot. As long as the enemy is in excess of 200m, you are pretty much safe from being spotted as long as you hold your fire. Even when the E 25 does fire, it still has an impressive camo rating that is approximately equal to most medium tanks (when stationary). Use this to your advantage to pepper confused enemies while remaining completely unseen.

High Rate of Fire

The E 25's rate of fire is virtually unrivaled by non-autoloading tanks. This opens up opportunities to perma-track enemy tanks, leaving them exposed and vulnerable while you chip away their health. In fact, it is possible to keep multiple tanks perma tracked if needed with the rate of fire sported by the L/70. This high rate of fire also results in considerable module damage. Consider aiming at the ammo racks of vehicles to severely cripple or even blow them up.

Mobility

On top of the E 25's incredible camo, the E 25 also has light tank levels of mobility, giving it the ability to reach positions to exploit its camouflage to its fullest extent. This also allows it to perform scouting duties if absolutely necessary, although the E 25's short view range can be a hindrance in these situations.

Surprising amounts of gun depression

8 degrees might not be american, but it sure is close. While you can't exactly hull down in a E 25, you can still abuse hills to provide a quick and safe escape route when spotted.

Cons

Unimpressive spotting range

For a sniping style tank destroyer, the E 25 has a slightly lacking view range to bring home the bacon. 360m is not sufficient, and will require assistance either in the form of teammates, or equipment such as vents, binocs and coated optics. Keep this in mind when playing on large open maps.

Fragile

The E 25 has nothing for armor and little in the way of hitpoints. If you get spotted, your only ally is speed. Move quickly and erratically to avoid incoming fire and get to cover as soon as possible. The E 25 lacks the armor and the alpha to trade fire, your number one priority when detected is to get to shelter as soon as possible.

Subpar penetration

Even with APCR ammunition, the E 25 will still struggle to penetrate frontal armor of many tanks. Try to use your speed and camouflage to set up on strategic flanks that would enable you to fire on the sides of enemy vehicles. This would not only make life easier for you, it also opens up the opportunity to permatrack unlucky enemies and pound them into submission.

Low gun mount

Due to the ground hugging characteristics of the E 25, the gun is mounted very close to the ground. This makes it difficult to abuse terrain such as low walls, debris or destroyed tanks to hide the majority of your tank behind while still allowing you to shoot. This also makes it very difficult to fire on the move, as mild elevations and depressions in the ground can obstruct your line of fire.

Equipment Recommendations

The E 25 primarily benefits from improvements in three main areas.

Camo, Rate of fire and View range.

Camo would make the stealthy E 25 even stealthier, enabling it to shoot from closer in and make it easier to target enemy weakspots.

A faster rate of fire would enable the E 25 to deal more damage in a shorter period of time, as well as compensate for any bounced shots.

View range increases would help to counteract the E 25's mediocre view range and enable it to spot for itself.

As such, the following modules are recommended.

Improved Ventilation - Improved ventilation gives a 5% boost to all crew skills, including both rate of fire and view range.

Medium-Calibre Tank Gun Rammer - A 10% boost to DPM is a whooping 270 DPM. That is a big difference, especially on lower tiers where your gun is more effective.

Camo Net - The Camo Net is a must have for all TDs, giving an impressive flat boost to the tank's camo rating. When stacked on top of the already impressive E 25 camo values, it renders the E 25 very difficult to detect, even when it is sitting in the middle of an open field. Throw in a few bushes, and suddenly proximity spotting is the only way to root out a E 25.

Binocular Telescopes - These boost the E 25's view range from an unimpressive 360m to a very good 450m. With these, the E 25 can safely spot for its own targets without needing to fear retaliation.

I recommend two different equipment setups for the E-25, depending on whether you wish to go for rate of fire, or view range.

Option 1

Vents

Rammer

Camo Net

This build goes for sheer DPM while sacrificing spotting range. You will be relying on others to spot for you, however you are going to be dealing more damage than Option 2.

Option 2

Binocs

Rammer

Camo Net

Dropping the Vents will decrease your reload speed by 5% and make your gun slightly less accurate, however the binocs gives a massive view range boost, making it easier for you to go solo and not rely on (unreliable) teammates.

Crew Skills

Note: The E 25 is a premium tank, as such, you really really should NOT have a dedicated crew for it. Instead, you should transfer a crew from another german TD over as they will operate at FULL effectiveness in the E 25.

However, if you have no other German TDs, and are not planning to get one, then the following list is a good guide to follow.

Commander: BiA/Sixth Sense/Camo/Recon

Gunner: BiA/Camo/Deadeye/Repairs

Driver: BiA/Camo/Clutch Braking/Off-road Driving

Loader: BiA/Camo/Safe Stowage/Repairs

BiA - BiA is always good as it serves as a second vents, boosting the E 25's fire rate, gun accuracy and view range all at once. Always remember to train camo skill first, then after reaching 100% (or 147% if you are using credits) use either credits or gold to switch it over to BiA, then start training camo again. This is because camo is a skill and will kick in immediately, while BiA is a perk and will only have effect if it is at 100%.

Camo - A full camo crew on the E 25 is equivalent to slapping on another camo net, which basically makes it nigh impossible to find a E 25 even if it is sitting in the middle of Malinovka. Just remember, that camo rating will drop dramatically once you take a shot.

Sixth Sense - Sixth Sense is vital for zero-armour sniper tank destroyers. It tells you when you are spotted, enabling you to dive for cover before the shells start flying your way. You will be surprised just how many times this perk will save your life.

Deadeye- Deadeye is recommended for the gunner due to the E 25's high RoF. This increases the chance for it to deal module damage, thus making it more likely for you to bust an engine, set an enemy on fire, knock out their turret, or ignite their ammunition in a giant fireball.

Clutch Braking - As mentioned before, the E 25 does have a tendency to understeer at high speed. Clutch braking will help alleviate this issue, although not by much. If you wish you may choose to go for Preventive Maintenance instead.

Safe Stowage - Safe Stowage will help to protect your ammo rack from blowing up in one shot, especially when hit by big guns in excess of 120mm. There are few other options that are really suitable as a loader perk. Intuition is really not needed when you have a reload time of 2.5s, and Adrenaline rush triggers when the tank has under 83 HP, a very unlikely scenario.

Recon - Recon as a forth skill helps to boost the view range of the E 25 slightly. You can also choose to go for repairs if you wish to, but there are few good options left at this point.

Off-road driving - Preventive Maintenance as a forth perk is unlikely to be finished, due to the sheer exp requirements. Thus, the best skills left are repair and offroad driving. Smooth ride is pointless as shooting on the move with the E 25 is really really hard.

Repairs - Repairs is always good to take when there are no good skills left. In the event that you get tracked twice, repairs might just happen to save your life.

Gameplay Tips

If you are a fan of the Marder 38t or the Pz Sfl IVc, then the E 25 will seem like second nature to you as their playstyles are quite similar.

Use your mobility to get to concealed places, then let your camo net and/or binocs kick in and start shooting fish in a barrel. Map knowledge is keep with this tank. You have to know what positions are good spots and which ones are death traps.

A good range to snipe from is 350-500m. Anything under and you run the risk of being spotted. Do note, if you have a bush that is more than 15m in front of you, then you can snipe from much closer. However in such a case you may want to pay attention to your minimap for any light tanks that may be roaming around and might flank you.

Always, ALWAYS have an escape route. Your tank is fast and agile, unlike a AT15, which when caught and flanked is a dead tank, the E 25 can slip away from advancing enemies easily and reposition itself to a better location. Don't waste that advantage by putting a rock between you and the path to safety.

Reposition if needed. If the frontline is starting to inch too close to you, or if you aren't seeing any traffic in your arc of fire, it might be time to start moving. Once again, put that 26hp/t to use, move to a better spot then shoot from there. Especially if you see sixth sense light up, that means time to get out of there entirely. Artillery will OHKO E-25s, and the low alpha of the 7.5cm will mean that exchanging shots is not a good idea at all. Move away, there are plenty more spots to choose from.

Scout if necessary, and only if necessary. If your light tanks are all dead, and you have a row of SU-122-44s and SU-152s pointed at the general direction of the enemy, it might be time to pick up the slack and scout ahead. Your speed and camo rating are all at scout levels, so you will perform decently as compared to say... a Pz Sfl V. However, your agility and view range are still not exactly the best, so if there are light tanks still lying around, it is better for you to stay behind and fire away.

Know where the weakspots of enemy tanks are, and more importantly, know when it is not possible to penetrate the target. You have a low penetration gun on the E 25. There will be times where you will have difficulty penetrating the enemy's armour. It is times like this that a good knowledge of the enemy tank's weakspots will help you deal damage rather than ping shot after shot off the gun mantlet of american tanks. Also, there will be times where you simply cannot do anything to hurt the target, (E.g. hulldown/heavily angled T29) However that does not mean you cannot do anything. Always remember to check, is he in a vulnerable position to your teammates? Will tracking him help my teammates shoot his weakspots/flank him? If yes, then go ahead and keep him perma tracked. You will get assistance points and exp for doing so.

Watch the minimap, The E 25 is good as a second line support tank, not as a front line tank. If the line has fallen, or if flankers are inbound, it is high time to get out of there and back to a safer location. The last thing you want to do is get caught in a brawl against a KV-13. The minimap also tells you where your team needs your help. If you are on one side of the map with 8 tanks, and the other side only has 4, it might be a good idea to swing over to the other side to help them hold. Your mobility lets you be everywhere at once, use that to reinforce your team where they need help most.

Watch out for rammers. The E 25 is a light tank and really cannot withstand being rammed (unless it is by an AMX or a 59-16). Be careful of fast tanks such as the Panther, T25/2 or the notorious AFK Panther coming in from your blind side for an easy ram kill. Once again, keep an eye on the minimap and sixth sense icon when you play.

Most importantly, have fun. The E 25 is an unique and highly interesting tank to play. It may not be the most powerful Tier VII premium tank destroyer, but it definitely beats the SU-122-44 in terms of sheer fun.

German Premium Tank Destroyer, The E-25 a.k.a. The Little Bugger

Note: No bugs included on purchase.

Pros

Speed - If you feel the need for speed after slugging it out in Heavy Tanks, get an E-25 because it is the fastest tier 7 TD in the game zooming at 65 kmph!

Stealth - If you feel like killing tank without them knowing where you are, get an E-25 because fully equipped (100% Camo Crew, BiA, Camo Net, Vents, Chocolate, and Camo Paint) it will reach up to 65% camo value while stationary, which is SUPERB! Also very useful if you want to scout!

Accurate Gun - If you hate missing your shots, get an E-25 because 0.3 accuracy, duh!

Aim Time - If you are too lazy to aim for 2 seconds, get an E-25, because 1.3 second aiming time!

Small and Flat - If you hate cockroaches, then you will love how annoying E-25 can be to the enemy!

Flexibility - If you want to be able to react to quick changes while in battle, get an E-25 because 65 kmph top speed and 44 degrees/sec hull traverse!

DPM - If you feel like pew-pew-ing everyone, get an E-25 because it has an insane DPM of 3000+ (with Gun Rammer).

Credit Maker - If your credits are running low, get an E-25, since it's a premium tank, repairs and ammo cost is cheap, while also getting credit multiplier reward!

Special Matchmaking - If you wanna run from derpy high tier battles and pwn in mid tier games, get an E-25 because it get special MM, only seeing up to tier 8!

Trolling Factor - If you feel like trolling non-turreted TDs and SPGs, get an E-25 because it has 26+ horse power per ton ratio enabling it to outflank almost all of them.

Upcoming Patch - If you don't want your TD to get spotted when firing behind a bush, get an E-25 because Premium TDs are not affected in the "TD camo nerf" in patch 0.9.1 that is coming soon.

Cons

Average Penetration - 150mm penetration with regular AP, 194mm with APCR, E-25 might struggle penetrating tier 8 tanks.

Low HP - Being in the top 5 lowest HP of tier 7 TD, E-25 will easily be destroyed in two or three shots by an equivalent tier tank or higher.

Low Armor - 80mm being the thickest armor E-25 have, even HE shells will penetrate, though occasional troll bounce can happen at the gun mantlet.

Low Alpha Damage - With only 135 average damage per shot, peek-a-boo and tradings shots playstyle are not applicable.

Low Relative Ammo Capacity - Yes it can carry 60 ammo, but it can run out completely in 3 minutes (fired continuously), which is not enough.

Very Light - Weighing up to 29 tons, if an E-25 gets rammed, it will take serious damage.

Too Fast - If you play E-25 too aggresively, things will go bad really quickly. Sometimes, driving recklessly can get yourself airborne, then damaged during the landing.

Recommended Equipments

Medium-Caliber Tank Gun Rammer - 3000+ dpm, yes please. (Pew pew pew:justwait:)

Camouflage Net - 60% camo while stationary, yes please. (Pew pew pew, stealthily:bush:)

Binocular Telescope - 450m view range when bino activated, yes please. (Early scout:hiding:)

Improved Ventilation Class 2 - +5% to everything, not a bad choice.

Recommended Crew Skills

Camouflage (All crews) - Increase camo (also while moving), yes please. (Vroom vroom)

Brothers in Arms (All crews) - Always good to have a bro while fighting.

Sixth Sense (Commander) - An absolute must, to avoid getting hit.

Deadeye (Gunner) - Damage all the modules!

Off-Road Driving/Clutch Braking (Driver) - More mobility, yes please.

Intuition/Safe Stowage (Loader) - Not much of an option anyway.

Gameplay Tips

Every time the game starts, you need to find a potential scouting position (bush) that you can get with your speed.
When your team has moved up, change into a team-supporting-sniper mode, giving fire support to HTs and MTs. Or just stay in the initial position if not compromised and enemy is still lit up.

If a flank is losing tanks, relocate immediately to give support (while not getting spotted if possible). Do not ever try to defend a flank alone, you will just die.

Playing a stealthy tank needs patients (for enemy to make mistake), so sometimes try to hold your position.

After doing a headcount and confirming a flanking maneuver is safe, go for arty hunt.

Never ever get into a situation where you will be outnumbered.

My Recommendations

Get an E-25. (I want one too, lol)

E-25 is the MOST EXCITING premium tanks ever. EVER. The fun scale of driving E-25 is off the scale. Why?

Here's why. It has special matchmaking. Wazzat? Well, it's a tier 7 tank destroyer that will NEVER meet tier 9. That's right, NEVER. Unless you are in a fail platoon with other normal tier 7 tanks. It is also quite fast. REALLY fast.In fact, it is one of the fastest TD out there. The only other TD that can hope to outrun an E-25 is hellcat, and it's ONLY in a straight line. This little bugger also happens to have THE BEST camo rating for its tier. That's right, THE BEST, It also shoots dirt for its ammo. It is a whopping 109 CREDS per shot!! Meaning that you can never have negative earning in this baby.

"But the gun is lacking" you say?? 150mm pen you say? Wait till you see how accurate it is. Imagine a super precision scalpel used by surgeons, BUT RAPID FIRING! The gun on this thing is guided by the steel fist of serB himself.

So!! If you are hesitating, hesitate no more! this beast is the right thing for you!!

Pros:

-Insane rate of fire, coupled with nonsensical accuracy making you able to conduct an open heart surgery to even a tier 8 heavies

-Borderline OP camo rating. Coupled with camo net, this thing is equivalent to a sniper in a ghillie suit.

-In case i havent told you enough, IT IS FAST.

-Although the armor on this thing is nonsensical, the gun mantlet and the wide tracks can even absorb IS-3's BL-9 (given the right circumstances)

-A good TD to learn the spotting mechanics in (And abuse it to the max)

-Unbelievable gun depression for such a low profile TD (-8)

         -Very good credit earner

Cons:

-No armor. Any form of armor on this beast will make it OP and therefore will be struck down by the nerfbat

         - 'meh' penetration at best (what do you expect? OP accuracy, rate of fire and WITH PEN?). Although the premium shells for this thing is another                      beast.

         - 'meh' gun arc.

-Any shot you take is very likely to damage a module or kill a crew. Although if you are taking shots, you are wrong and I hate you.

-Number of crew doesn't really match some other german TD. (But you don't buy this TD to train, oh no you don't. You buy it for fun!)

Recommended Equipment:

-Rammer, coz why not? Who can say no to more dmg?

        -camo net (obvious)

-Binocs (for when you need to carry the game by yourself)

Recommended Skills:

6th sense, camo, camo, camo, camo, camo, camo, camo!!!

If you are doing it right, this result might just be yours:

Spoiler

Spoiler
Spoiler

Nuff said. And I am able to pull consistent good game with this thing. (except when the team is so bad you just want to drown yourself). So hop along, and buy one.

The E-25 Tank Destroyer

Considering this little tank to add to your Premium tank collection, well done.  When you purchase this tank you'll wonder why you waited so long.  This is how World of Tanks should be played.  Some say it is like a StuG on Steriods, others say its a German Cockroach, i.e. annoying as hell and just as hard to kill.  Everyone will have an opinion on how you should play this tank, but this tank is so flexible, you can apply your own play style to it.

Pros

- Fast at everything; shooting, driving, hiding,

Cons

- Don't try to stand and fight

Equipment

- Vents, Camo Net and Binoculars

Skills

- Six Sense and Camo Skill, the rest are up to you to meld to your playstyle

E-25 Specification

Final Thoughts

- Don't delay! Get it now and you won't be disappointed.

E25 - The AMX ELC with 75mm machinegun

Source http://wiki.worldoftanks.com/E-25 (only Historical and pros cons)

Historical: The development of the E-25 was part of the "E" program under the supervision of the Committee Waffenprüfamt 6. The E-25 was developed by the Argus factories (Karlsruhe, Germany) under the leadership of Dr. Herman Klaue. There are no prototypes produced.

Pros and Cons

Pros:
  • Amazing speed and mobility
  • Very low silhouette, only slightly bigger than the ELC AMX
  • Insane RoF - a round every 3 seconds
  • Excellent camo rating
  • Can scout (if needed)
  • Outstanding accuracy, far superior to the regular 7,5 cm StuK 42 L/70
  • Can be played as a ghost recon sniper
  • Very useful for quick support
  • Special MM, encounters tanks only up to tier VIII
  • Catastrophic damage per minute
  • Annoyingly well-sloped mantlet can bounce the occasional shell

Cons:
  • Low armor
  • Low Alpha damage and poor penetration for its tier
  • Crew members get knocked out fairly easily, and the driver is located at the front plate near the gun
  • Small ammo capacity for its RoF
  • Low maximum damage (169) compared to other tier 7 vehicles

Equipment:

*Sniper: - Medium-Caliber Tank Gun Rammer
- Improved Ventilation Class 2
- Camouflage Net

*Semi-scout: - Medium-Caliber Tank Gun Rammer
- Improved Ventilation Class 2
-
Binocular Telescope/Coated Optics

*Passive scout: - Medium-Caliber Tank Gun Rammer
- Camouflage Net
-
Binocular Telescope

Skills:
Sixth Sense - Brothers in Arms - Camouflage - Recon - Situational Awareness
Camouflage - Brothers in Arms - Deadeye - Designated Target - Repair
Camouflage - Brothers in Arms - Clutch Braking - Off-Road Driving - Preventative Maintenance
Camouflage - Brothers in Arms - Adrenaline Rush - Safe Stowage - Repair

Ammunition:

Don't bring HE, it's no use
take about 5~10 APCR (or full lol) to deal with target like IS6, KV4,...

Gameplay tips:
- Platoon with 1 or 2 more E25, stick together, find a sniper spot and.....

- If you don't have platoon, stick to your teammates and support them. Watch the minimap often.
- This tank requires a lot of skill to control, use your speed and agility, think like an ELC, not a Maus.
- If you can't penetrate target, don't waste your ammo, fins another target or go around and hit from side or rear.
- Low penetration is completed by accuracy, aim for the weak spot.
- Modules and crews are easily damaged, low HP make you an easy target, so you can distract enemy or be a decoy =]]

This is an fun tank to play, not really good money maker but if you enjoy playing it, you won't remember why you money increase =]]
If you're a skillful player, buy it, you won't regret :D

The E-25 is an awesome tank! Play it as a mobile sniper rather than a TD. some pro's are it's fast firing 2 second reload! it can dish out the damage and own the battlefield. It's speed is amazing zooming round in that tank makes you feel unstoppable.
Con's are it's lack of armour, not much stands between the bullets firing at you and your crew so stay safe!
It's Light weight means your'll easily killed by ramming.
Would i recommend players to purchase this tank? Hell yes! it is the all round tank and is great fun to play and platoon with.
Good luck on the battlefield comrades <:)

E 25

"Damn it, why is this little roach invisible? I'm on fire!" - Anyone at the wrong end of the E 25 barrel

VII/TD/6700G

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"E" Class Background:

A plan for a standardized tank line using as many common parts as possible, the Entwicklung ("E") series was intended as a panacea to Germany's complex and convoluted group of tanks, distilling them into simpler and cheaper tanks with many parts in common with each other. The "E" series spanned a wide weight range, from the featherweight E 10 light tanks and self-propelled guns, to the monstrous linebacker super-heavy tank, the E 100. These steel beasts' development ground to a halt when Nazi Germany was defeated. Little trace of these designs serve today, and most surviving hulls and parts were destroyed or scrapped, such as the infamous Allied scrapping of the E 100. But that is a story for another time.

"E 25" Background:

Also a standardization attempt by Nazi Germany, the E 25, true to its name, was intended as a 25 ton weight class replacement for the then common Pz.Kpfw. III, Pz.Kpfw. IV and Stu.G. III. The E 25 series included medium tanks, medium tank destroyers and Waffentraegers.

The version we see in the World of Tanks is the Jagdpanzer E 25, hereinafter referred to as E 25 for simplicity. The E 25 weighed 25 tons and was supposed to mount the 700 horsepower Maybach HL 230 TRM P 30 engine, one of the most powerful engines fielded to an armored vehicle at the Second World War, and the accurate and puissant 7,5cm Stuk. 42 anti-tank cannon. It was supposed to replace all Pz. III and IV based tank destroyers.

E 25 In-game Statistics and Review:

Cost and Tiering (Money money money...):

A tier VII premium tank, the E 25 costs 6700 gold coins, quite a hefty sum for a premium tank. However, the sheer fun factor of this tank ensures that you break that 6700 gold cost even faster than SerB can nerf artillery. Again. How? Read on!

The E 25 is unique since it receives special, restricted matchmaking. The E 25 meets only tanks one tier higher, for a maximum battle tier of 8. This is due to its weak average penetration of 150mm.

Mobility, Size and Dynamics (I feel the need, the need for speed.):

Weighing in at a slim 26,3 tons, the E 25 is a uniquely light vehicle in the World of High Tier Morbidly Obese Tanks. Fitting, considering its purpose as a replacement for the low-profile, mobile StuG. III.

And mobile it is! Featuring the greatest in German automotive technology, the E 25 features under its hood the pinnacle of luxury, high-power engines. It's a Maybach (need I say more!?) HL 230 TRM P30 gasoline engine of 700 rich, chunky PS. Capable of moving the morbidly obese, 70-ton Pz. VI B, it gives the E 25 a uncomfortably powerful specific power of 26.62 PS/ton. Coupled with a speed limit of 65 kilometers per hour, the E 25 accelerates to its top speed very quickly, allowing it to reach high-risk, high-reward sniping positions faster than any other tank destroyer (No chance, Kitty!) due to its prodigious speed. Its traverse does not disappoint, at a good 44 degrees per second. Traveling at high speeds makes your turning radius enormous, though, so turn ahead of time or slow down. Although not the fastest turning, the degenerate engine power under the hatches ensure that the E 25 loses little energy while turning or moving. Use this mobility well.

The E 25's famed low profile and camouflage factor reigns supreme. The previous kings of stealth, the JagdPz. IV and StuG. III have been dethroned by the E 25, due to its even lower profile (anyone ordered pancakes?) and smaller overall size. Coupled with its mobility, the E 25 can snipe where no sniper has gone before, and run faster than a speeding bullet. The stealth is sufficient to ensure reliable stealth above 290 meters when firing, and can stay hidden within 75 meters of an enemy vehicle when stationary and idle.

Who needs racecars and ninjas?

Offensive and Defensive Characteristics ('Armor' is a fantasy invented by your C.O. to make you feel better.):

Now we're talking.

In offending opposing armor, the E 25 isn't the hardest shell in the rack. Featuring the venerable 7,5cm Stu.k. 42 with a 70 calibro long barrel, the ubiquitous 7,5cm "Long 75" deals a rather low 135 damage coupled with a meager 150mm of average penetration. This gives you absolutely no room to stick the barrel head-on to other tank's frontal armor, since at this tier, you can't penetrate frontal armor effectively. This forces you to be smart (You are, aren't you?) and flank, seeking weaker points to apply this tank's speed and stealth in order to unleash the concealed, hidden M4A3E8 within every E 25...

D.P.M.

What I didn't mention was that the 7,5cm gun fires at an unhealthy 20RPM, serving out 2700 points of damage EVERY minute. It's like having an automatic loader, WITH A 60 ROUND MAGAZINE!

We don't need no stinking AMXes. No we don't. When applied to enemy side and rear armor, effects may include spontaneous combustion and rapid deconstruction of enemy armor. 2700 DPM is enough to savage the toughest of enemy tanks, especially heavy tanks, who have monstrous hit points and are too slow to rapidly respond to your attacks.

In defense, the E 25 is rather poor. 50mm of sloped armor graces the front of the tank, with an additional 50mm for the mantlet. Sloped as it may, it still is 50mm, and the effective armor of around 90mm will do little to stop enemy shells from perforating your newly purchased luxury tank. This tank does not like frontal engagements. Not only does its gun make such attacks foolhardy, the armor will not save you, and neither will your 830HP pool. Some tier 3 tanks can easily perforate your frontal armor, so don't head out like Rocky Balboa avenging his dead buddy. You'd be dead too. However, this is where the speed, stealth and smallness come into play. At longer ranges, the E 25 can be a hard target to hit, and a moving E 25 is a hell of a target to hit. Don't get hit.

Monetary (Grab that cash with both hands and make a stash.):

The E 25 makes a good amount of dough, fitting for its status as a premium tank. 1550 damage is sufficient to ensure around 10000-17000 profit, depending on spotting bonuses. 2000+ damage games guarantee a 19000 profit match. Low ammunition costs and a good damage to credit ratio of 1.3 ensure cash flow like Gaben and his Steam Summer Sale. Every day. Add in a premium account (Maximum WG approval) and you'll have so much cash, you can actually fund your gold ammo addiction.

Tactics and Overall Impression of the E 25  (Time to get served):

The E 25 is best played as a medium tank or a high DPM, early game scout. Its low penetration betrays it when attempting to do traditional tank destroyer roles; leave them to invisible clickers such as your netadmin, who probably is driving a Borsig. Your job is an early-game scout: Use your speed and stealth to spot in highly dangerous areas that not even light tanks can venture and spot enemy vehicles. This helps your team make proper judgments on tank assignment (Wishful thinking, but one can dream). When the enemy heavies are busy comparing the calibro of their cannons and all the enemy mediums are done suiciding, rush and attack the rear of those dueling heavies (Who's butthurt now) and apply 2700 DPM straight on. This is my preferred strategy, inducing countless fires and tons of fun

For those who have the cojones, you can undergo the Medal of Honor run, which essentially is active scouting near enemy positions while hunting down scouts. I have done this with reasonable success, but the high reward begets high risk.

The combination of silly DPM and speed ensure that you'll have the most fun you ever had with your head on (or off). Race around the map, kill everything and enjoy the 30++ dorra you spent on a pile of pixels.

Overall, the E 25 is an extremely solid premium tank. Valve-class cash flow coupled with sheer fun factor and a unique combination of traits make this an excellent, if not the best, tier VII premium tank.

E-25 Tier 7 premium Tank Destroyer.

What do most people say about it?
“What the hell is shooting me?”

Pros:
This tank has it all.  Speed, mobility, camo, firepower.  It’s a skateboard with a big gun!!!!!!
The e-25 with its low silhouette and high camo rating can perform the role or a sniper, scout and support, being able to move to trouble spots and lay down a large number of shots in quick succession to pin down or disable an enemy tank.  As a premium tank it also get special match making, only facing tier eight tanks.  Its highly accurate 75mm gun boasting 0.3m dispersion at 100m and 2700 DPM can make Swiss cheese of any tank that crosses your path

Cons:
It’s not all good news for the “cockroach”
You don’t have a lot of armour of HP to play with, so you have to rely on your speed and stealth.  Firing away with gay abandon will also bring you unstuck by depleting your small ammunition capacity quickly.  An insane ROF and small ammo storage of sixty shells may have you giggling like a schoolgirl for a while, but leaving you wondering what to do with an empty tank in very short time.

Crew skills and equipment:
Use the strengths of this TD to your advantage and build your own Klingon cloaking device.  But I hear you say “I can’t find this in the store?”

No problems.  Equip the E-25 with a medium caliber gun rammer, binoc and a camo net.
Train your commander with Sixth Sense firstly then Camo.  The rest of your crew can be trained in BIA and Camo to reduce your loading time and increase your stealth.
Once this is achieved, your E-25 has the highest camo rating of any Tier 7 TD and even surpassed the Tier 7 light tanks.  WOO HOOOOO.  You now own an Invisitank!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just remember kids.  There are only two views of the E-25.  Looking through its gun sight………….or trying to find it hidden………..somewhere…………out there………………SHOOTING YOU!!!!!!
