Hi Tank Commanders!

 

Here's a thought: what would tanks be like if they were somehow transformed into human characters? What would their personalities be like? Would they be responsible adults or troublemakers in school, or even something crazy like a space pirate?

If you've never thought about these questions for more than a few seconds at a time, you should start right now - we're holding a contest, and the winner gets the top prize of 10,000 gold!

The Armoured Persona Contest

In this contest, your task is simple: Create a human character design based on the AMX 13 90 in ANY art style you prefer.

There is total freedom to do what you want - your character design can be in any shape and setting and portrayed in any style you wish.  However, all submissions must fulfill several requirements to be accepted for the contest:

1. The character resembles an AMX 13 90 in some way; submissions not based on the tank will not be accepted.
2. The character is 100% original and does not contain material copied from other intellectual property.
3. The character has never been featured on the internet or other media prior to submission for this contest.
4. All submissions must abide by the forum rules.
5. All entries submitted for the contest automatically becomes the property of Wargaming Asia.

 

Submission and Judging Deadlines

The contest begins on 27th May 2014 (today), so pick up your favourite drawing tool and start sketching! However, do note the following deadlines for the contest:

• 27th June 2014: Deadline of entry submission. No other entries will be accept after this day.
• 1st July 2014: Community's Choice voting begins. The community gets to decide which character designs are the best of them all!
• 7th July 2014: Last day of voting. No more votes will be counted after this day.

Contest Prizes

Once the Community's Choice votes are tallied, we will finally announce the winners of this contest!

As with some of our contests, we'll be splitting the winners into two categories: Wargaming's Choice and Community's Choice. The best entries chosen by Wargaming staff will be winners in the former, and the most voted-on entries by the Community the latter.

And as a reward of their efforts, winners will receive:

• Wargaming's Choice
  • 3 winners of 10,000 each
• Community's Choice
  • 1st Place: 7,500 Gold
  • 2nd Place: 6,000 Gold
  • 3rd Place: 5,000 Gold
  • 4th Place: 4,000 Gold

:D If you wonder what is on the girl's shoulders, let me explain: they are 2 drums of auto-loader system (behind the turret) that is linked to the gun by a shell tray. I want to keep the original appearance of the AMX 13 90 as much as i can. Therefore i just splited its modules up and let the girl wear as battle gears

Hobby:

+ Stay in the bushes and watch "movie" 

+ Make the others "get mad" from behind

+ Dance with students of Arty Group

+ Eat breads everyday

Forte:

+ Keen eyes (400m sight range)

+ Run fast (64 km/h)

+ Have a great concentration and do things very fast (deal average 1440 damage in 10s due to the auto-loader system behind the turret)

Disadvantages:

+ Accelaration isn't really good

+ Doing things fast but need a long time to prepare (about 42s)

+ Weak immunization (max armour 40mm), sensitive with many kinds of food such as Apple Pie (AP), Hot Eel (HE) soup,...

Use whatever medium is most comfortable for you. Just make sure that you manage to take a good quality picture of the artwork you made.

I think as long it's human resembling AMX it's all OK (even mecha musume, girls with tank part is permitted, so I see no reason why superheroes can't enter)

Well that was fun. Might add some other stuff later, I still have a month to play with.
Seems that the French love Japanese gym uniforms almost as much as the Japanese love French Maid uniforms...

That was cutting it closer than I'd intended. Changed to be a comic demonstrating the AMX 13 90's scouting role. Now if only AMX's would go out on active spotting runs more often.
