Wait, what? Hmmm. much carrot, such desire. 

 

Lets be honest, I was always gonna play a bit of tankville anyway, just to see what it was like (such are the privileges of command). It will be interesting to see if I can get good attendence for this, as CW interest seems a touch low.

Stronghold is going to be pretty much like having premium account (and some more), once you've built and upgraded all the stuff. I reckon it'll stack with premium too.

But I never needed tier 6 / 8 tanks in my stable to preserve my premium account.

You get resources, which is used in buildings to create reserves, which is used to activate bonuses (increase credit, XP, free XP, crew XP, etc).

It still feels like clan wars for the have nots though. Im glad they decided to incentivise it differently from CW.

My only question so far is this: for the Raid mode, do you have to have 15 players from your clan online to fight, or are the teams made from literally anyone online who's selected Raid mode (ie. just like a random battle)?

i don't play wot for all these silly side distractions. seriously WG have you not got it yet after the fail of confrontation, historical, low tc/tb numbers etc.... the majority of players just want to get online and fight great games! I know that to me this whole stronghold business just looks complex and i really could not be bothered as all i want to do is fight! Why keep adding all these crazy new things when you could spend time creating a better core experience for your player base. It is very easy for companies to grow and become too fixated on building something that they see as being essential but lose touch with what their fan base actually want or liked about them in the first place. They wake up one day being millions down on revenue, have their fan base move on to another game and wondered what happened...... they lost their core essence and got caught up in their own self importance. The games that last the test of time for online gaming are often not the ones that have the latest best graphics etc, they are the ones that have something special that cant be quantified that just keeps you coming back for more.

Alt, Tankville is going to be played by the commanders, the rest of ya just need to turn up to battles when required. So I really dont see your point here. Just fight the raids, and reap the benefits, and let those in command worry about when to harvest the crops, or whatever the hell it is they need to do. For the vast majority of tankers, its just going to be a bit of bonus XP/CR and a few extra battles a week. Possibly with some weird mechanics thrown in.
