I drew the tank in the environment it was meant to fight, in the rice paddies of Japan. The school girls were by the request of Wargaming Japan. Don’t blame me!

Lol, I sympathize with the artist. So far most of the featured illustrations have been devoid of extra kawaii schoolgirls in it and I was quietly glad of it. Though I suppose having them appear once in a while is okay. He even drew them to look a bit more sensible than the usual sugary overdose of cuteness whenever somebody decides to add girls onto tanks. I reckon I'm in the minority with this kind of opinion.

....You know that Takeshi Nogami stuff is full of Ecchi things that anyone posted his book here could get crayon several times?

He is one of my favorite artist btw.

I don't mind ecchi, I don't mind cute. I just got sick of cute girls on tanks, that's all. Hell, I drew one such picture myself for a previous contest despite my disdain for it.

Actually, it looks better without those girls in the picture.

Perhaps, the girls appearance gives the image a bit warm feeling in such war scenarios where civilians offer gratitude to soldiers, like in this image the girls somewhat provided the tank some foliage as camouflage.

Indeed. The localization team must work faster! They must translate every word in real time as soon as the author pens it. We must read the illustration article at the same time as our Japanese counterparts!

Lies!  I mean, maybe he got the request, but I'm pretty sure he was eager to draw it considering his regular works....

I think the girls own the tank, if it's like the picture above (and like everything else Mr. NOGAMI always draws), so they aren't offering gratitude to anything. He's the guy that came up with the idea of girls riding around tanks after school before "Girls und Panzer."

Well, seems tanks become that world equivalent of car on that work. I mean some beach hoodlum get around on Sheridan, and i recall seeing some art with some Israeli (?) girl with Merkava.

Why nobody want to scanlate it, is a mystery...answer: too many T&A

And don't forget his work which involve Anglo-Japan alliance and all-girls warship fleet.
