Well, the only rule that limits the nationality of a teams members is this

Note: The team leader must be from AUS/NZ and provide a valid drivers' license or passport to obtain a position/prize.

So as long as they have a AUS/NZ team captain/leader then they are abiding by the tournament rules.

An optimal team would primarily be made up of players on the other-side of the SEAMEWE3 cable break with the mandatory AUS/NZ team captain/leader.

I'm surprised how flexible the team composition is allowed for the AU/NZ are (was expecting like 3 players of 6 had to be AU/NZ) but I guess it would be a fair bit of work to verify the team (partially or entirely) and there may not be so many participants (well at least I hope not since they may not conduct similar tournaments in the future due to the lack of interest).

Improvement starts from within. So for the sake of the server, please do. Like starting right now! I've even written a couple of tank guides that may help (http://forum.worldoftanks.asia/index.php?/user/rodac-2000549663/page__tab__topics).

with the cable to Singapore down and etas to fix it are after the event... one would of thought it would be delayed until the cable was fixed.

Edited by Blade12444, 06 December 2014 - 10:21 AM.

In MMO terms, the E-75 is a vanilla warrior with shield, the ST-1 uses two handed weapons and full armor, the M103 is that asshole who uses the warrior class for the defensive bonuses and then uses crossbows, the IS-8 is the rogue that suddenly thought "warrior sounds cool, I might try that", and the VK4502B is the starting character with a tower shield. The AMX50-120 is actually a mage and simply wandered into the wrong raid group.

Blade has a mod pack! Take a look here

Team leader should be providing Drivers License or Passport of him or herself and entire team. Else it's not an Australian and New Zealand Tournament is it? And I'm already starting to see players that are from Hong Kong, Singapore, etc. Teams holding players in their teams that aren't from the Aus/NZ regions should be Disqualified on the spot as it poses a Disadvantage to all other teams participating in the event. e.g. 150-250ms vsing a team with 20-50ms.

One way of finding this out is player information on Teamspeak, the IP will show where the Connection is coming from, players profile details.

There will always be players out there that lie and take advantage of these events.

Only reasons I don't play tournaments is because of Work/Timezone selection and it's non-competitive with the same teams/players winning every time because they don't live downunder.

So a NZ/AU tournament only needs to have the captain from AU/NZ?

That's hardly a "AU/NZ" tournament.

This makes up for the AUS Fury screening and the lack of any Christmas party/gathering in AUS/NZ

May I suggest that if possible this is delayed until cable is repaired ?

We will be entering either way but I feel more would enter if the current cable situation wasn't present.

Also delaying until repair means have time to vet all the team not just the capt. This seasons Gold teams had 7 days (?) i think to prove location when new rules were put in place, if the onus is on the capt to collect team information and provide it to WG would make if easier and more legit imo.

This.

Having an AUS/NZ tourney is awesome, and much appreciated.

The prizes for a small tourney are fantastic as well.

Staging an AUS/NZ tourney however when the Aus and NZ players are at the biggest possible disadvantage then opening it to everyone while still calling it a AUS/NZ tourney...not so great.

Maybe they should have a backup roster of whoever is Australian or New Zealand too instead of having people from other countries? I rather spectate the tourney or be part of a team myself however my laptop only goes 10 FPS and 200-400 ping at times so it's roughly useless for me to either join a team and play efficiently.

Even I am living in country portion of Australia and find it quite hard to join.

Sig number 6 gone . In Armageddon - Day 1.  Note the date .

You're a weird mob . I'd like to go quietly into the night . I understand Mods are here to stay . I understand Mission / SH / CW rigging is here to stay .

I'll not bother the forums with these things . Let me go in peace . Not sure though why I cannot try and get cheap gold if it's ok for others to do .

It is because they are not doing a meet and greet in Australia.  It was cheaper to run this tourney for us.  This makes me happy as I wouldn't have gone to Australia to participate (being in New Zealand and all).

Maybe they should run this tournament on a test server in Australia.  That way people outside NZ/Oz could experience our lag for a while.:sceptic:
