Look like WoTs can finally start practicing for the up coming show, "Tanks on ICE" !

Reminds me a lot of some other game that everyone was complaining about sliding around every where, now what was that game called..... can't remember, whatever.

Trying to see thing through your point of view, but I can't get my head that far up my butt.

I will just like to say that this new physics of grifting tanks to me will just ruin the game. we will always be crashing in walls. this is a tank game not a grifting game. that is just my opinion

So realistic tank movement means they don't drift?

I guess these guys aren't drifting?

For the people that like to drift at Himmelsdorf :child:

I salute to you cause you might turn into a circle instead of  "Drifting" in next update

1st vid, not much drifting done other than from the car.

2nd vid, snow/icy, I could see CURRENT level of new physics applying to winter maps.

3rd vid, metal tracks on concrete, not known for it's great traction.

My biggest issue it seeing the same amount of sliding on swampy and soft terrain as you see on winter and concrete surfaces.

IF, and I do mean IF they fine tune it ALOT (as in make it less extreme and as Ryzil said make allowances for terrain types it may be OK but  at the moment just looks like Boar Chunder clone.

I get relatively the same problem, minus the lags pc and pc crashes, whereas mine opens in a small window, then it exits and thats it.

Does anyone have a fix to this? Thanks!

It'd be great if the test server ACTUALLY WORKED.

When I open the test server I get. "Warning the data obtained from the update service is incorrect, for details see log file" has never happened before.. No idea whats up with it. Not too fussed, Test server is basically unplayable for me anyway with 500+ ping (Australian internet woot)

I got the chance to test it on CT. If you don't use spacebar and aren't diving off cliffs it isn't that noticeable.

In fact, I didn't like the look of the changes when I first saw Quickybaby's video about it. Yet after having a shot myself on CT I'm all for it. Will greatly add to the game and be somthing players will need to learn to master.

You must not  update the public test 9.6, you will only get your public test folder corrupte like I did in mine. What you must do is follow the link on the orig post and download a new public test folder (2.3 GB only). Just get the launcher in the link it will do the rest.
