This has to be the biggest joke ever. You buy gifts for other people and 'magically' you get the same amount back for yourself. You 100% didn't buy yourself a gift there, did you? Of course not, that'd be silly!

The best part is that according to WG, the gifts go to random people that buy gifts themselves. Come on guys, be nice and make sure that the people who fork out some money get some presents!

Basically there's no gift giving here, unless you count giving money to Wargaming.

Clearly players didn't invest enough into the Advent Calendar 'specials'

I thought it was pretty fun and unlike other specials hardly cost anything. Sure it's more a 'lucky dip' than a Secret Santa, but whatever. The advent calender is however, a joke.

The only thing I like is the Secret Santa webpage design. :D

Seems like some of you have never done a Secret Santa event before.

I mean, I grant this is another WG scheme to encourage player spending, but at the same time, this is also literally how Secret Santa events work.

Maybe if this was the ONLY Christmas promo/discount/event/sale/gift WG was doing, I'd say that was bullshit, but this is just one event among many. Doesn't seem worth complaining about.

I'd like to know exactly how this works. For example, does each potential gift or type of gift have an equal chance? Because surely it's not an equal 25% chance for (based on the sign-up page) consumable/gold/premium time/premium vehicles!

And what is the pool of vehicles? How much gold and premium time is up for grabs? What types of consumables? Heck, does that Secret Santa counter have any effect or is it just for that supposed warm, fuzzy feeling?

Real life secret santa doesn't use guaranteed returns as an incentive for higher investment amounts.

Hope money made by this by WarGaming goes to a charities ?

Because it's Christmas and this should not be a money marker thing for profit?

I paid for mine think this is what WG will do with the money made from it. ( e.g. a charity like aging war veterans ;)

Did 15 bucks worth of gifts, why not. Interested to see what I get out of it and hope I'm not disappointed like every other secret Santa I have ever been in.

Edit: After buying 10 gifts this is the different types of gifts I received.

Spoiler

TLDR: its a gamble, most likely would be better off getting gold from the store.

Exactly my thoughts :(... unfortunately

On the other hand if we had a trading system (player grinding creds for player profit->player bought gold so WG gets profit etc)... xD

Secret Santa only really works in real life. Good luck trying to make it work online.

I play artillery because I like to promote dynamic gameplay.
