Any chance that the Chieftain is going will he give us a inside the hatch episode on both AC.I and AC.IV Sentinels ? while he's at the museum?

Plus and any chance of seeing the AC.IV Sentinel in the Premium shop? maybe to celebrate ANZAC Day on the April 25th  ?

They do have a Hetzer although I agree that if the article was referring to the Kanonen Jag then it is a bit of a worry.

As a regular visitor to this wonderful museum I have pictures (and lots of them) of everything on exhibit there.

I believe their Hetzer is  the most authentic(complete) Hetzer in existence today and I know it is running order...as are the majority of their exhibits.

I really do recommend a visit for those that either live locally or are visiting Cairns.

Even though the sun was obscured from view, there was enough daylight to illuminate the museum grounds and its outdoor exhibits - a Hetzer being one of them (WHERE?)

That's a Jagdpanzer 4-5 aka Kanonenjagdpanzer. Who wrote that article? I do believe the AAAM does have a Jagdpanzer 38(T), but that ain't it.

It will be an awesome museum made even more brilliant by these two additions.

Yep and that ain't even a Hetzer in disguise:bush:

isnt the original hetzer the kanonenjagd?

Since the hetzer in game isnt a hetzer...

I can't remember which one was the actual 'hetzer' anymore.

The Jagdpanzer 38 came first based on the Panzer 38 t design. To add to the confusion the Swiss also had a version post war production version named the G-13.

The name "Hetzer" was a bit of a cockup from the design's initial conception with some confusion surrounding the "hetzer" name and when it was first used. I'd have to drag out some of my german TD Abteilung books to find out when "hetzer" was commonly used.  They also trialled some flamethrower versions and various gun platforms. The kanonenjagdpanzer was definitely post war design. It looks like a hybridized Jagdpanzer 1v crossed with a Jagdpanzer 38/Hetzer.

It may have been the design of the E-25 when the term 'Hetzer' was used. I'm not too sure.

MagicalFlyingFox I think you maybe close regarding the Entwicklung series and the confusion with the name "Hetzer"  all around the same time. Whether it was the E 10, E 25 or Hetzer they were looking to standardize their tank series to make parts and production simpler and as well as cost effective but the war was drawing down to its final chapters by then. The name "Hetzer' may have become more popular late, late war or even post war. Possibly a bit like the "King Tiger" and Brits using "Royal Tiger" moniker.

Nobody in Aus knows when the above mentioned German Tanks maybe coming on display at Cairns?

Original Hetzer was the E-10, which was never used.

Jagdpanzer 38(t) got the nicname Hetzer because it looked like the plan for the E-10

Kanonenjagdpanzer has never been known as the Hetzer.

I believe the AAAM 38t "hetzer" had just got back from being a star at the Corowa Swim just in time for this event so maybe it was outside then. 5000km round trip for a couple of days display and a parade in rural southern NSW. It was very well received

Inside the Hatch is already out, though I filmed the one in Bovington. The AC4 is, sadly, not actually an AC4. It is a modified AC1 turret to somewhat represent an AC4, and is thus much smaller, and empty inside.

It'll be a while. Still undergoing restoration in the UK, with the Firefly.
