SPGs are too op, let me explain.

They have super unrealistic god view mode, which is the initial condition for making it so op.

People say spgs are nerfed, but no, even for me, I have never played spgs before, borrowed an tier 6 spg ccount to play and did more than a thousand damages, believe or not, it's fact. Because I tried, I can really feel the op-ness.

Some argue that you have to learn to dodge spg shots, not camping in the same position, bla bla bla. Not even mentioning the slow tanks like E100, fast tanks can also get sniped by spgs. Why? It's because world of tanks maps are small, where there are only a few strategic camping/defending positions in the maps. It is so easy for one to predict where the enemies located.

There maybe too little coverage to avoid spg. You can get shot even hiding behind rocks/hills/mountains, which makes normal tanks so hard to do their job.

This is World of TANKS. Yes I know this is a game, it can be unrealistic, but considering the ratio of the spg's effectiveness to the map size (I don't know how to tell in words, I hopw you get what I mean, like spgs can easily cover a major attack route), you gotta make some balance or adjustments. If spg can be this unrealistically accurate, make bigger maps.

More importantly, this issue brings other negative impacts to the game, ie. campers, unsportsmanship, inappropriate actions. At the end of the day, we players play for entertainment and enjoyable experiences, of course for professionals they have different values in the game, but dear Wargaming, customers are willing to pay, but it seems like you are trying too hard to earn. Wargaming has done changes and developments that obviously make players to pay more.

Suggestions:

-Wargaming can also decrease the alpha damages of spgs if they are so accurate.

-bigger maps

Clarification: probably one-third/ one-forth of matches are seriously affected by spgs. There are some more to tell, but I forgot.;P    Nonetheless, I believe that these should be part of the major arguements/suggestions. I understand some might agree while some not. Feel free to discuss.

Thankyou.

As a 46%er you will get baddie RNG and SPG accuracy is temporarily improved. Especially when you are aiming at purples or people that are streaming.

Seriously, Why isn't there just 1 Thread where ALL mention of SPG's are rolled into it?

In all probability SerB is most likely a SPG Lord and as a result SPG's will NEVER be Removed.

I did over a thousand damage in the T-28 at tier 4 a few times. That must be a seriously OP tank too. :)

Seriously, play SPGs for a bit and you'll see that life isn't so rosy on the other side of the fence. They might seem like easy mode when you're a total scrub, but there's only so good you can get with them and they're way too random; even fully aimed shots miss half the time with penetrations almost entirely down to luck. You're wholly dependent upon the rest of your team for spotting targets too, so when all your scouts YOLO and die in the first five minutes you might as well be driving a very bad TD.

Only one issue I have with arty- why do they have AP shells (which works wonders considering the angle of impact) when IRL they use mainly HE/HE-delay fuse/ICM/airburst/HEAT(even so sparingly)/WP(or what layman terms is known as smoke).

I'm not good at this game, its just that the rest of the server sucks~

Some SPGs, such as the Sexton, could historically fire AP rounds. They'd be used in direct-fire mode as a weapon of last resort against tanks and other AFVs. HEAT was more common for that use though in late-war guns.

As well as it being blatantly non-historical, I've said elsewhere that I think that it'd be a good idea to restrict the use of both types from the overhead view as a means of reducing the one-shot kill problem. There'd still be a problem for thin skinned tanks that can't take an HE hit but the days of heavy tanks getting penetrated through the upper plate would at least be behind us.
