American TD Speed Buff:

You can't go wrong with buffing the speed of the T28, T28 Proto and the T95... well, almost can't go wrong. Raising the speed is good, but the main issue for all 3 of these tanks is more to do with the power to weight of them. Without good power to weight they still lose all their speed as soon as an incline is involved. Currently on the Test Server the stats are as such --> what I would change them to

T28

Speed - 22km/h
Engine - 510hp --> 720

p2w - 8.29hp/t --> 12.07hp/t

 

T28 Proto

Speed - 28km/h
Engine - 510hp --> 720hp 

p2w - 7.51hp/t --> 10.9hp/t

 

T95

Speed - 20km/h
Engine - 510hp --> 800 

p2w - 5.69hp/t --> 9.14hp/t

 

The only thing increasing the engine would affect would be its ability to maintain speed up hill and accelerate faster. Max forward speed and turning speed wouldn't change

 

Japanese HTs

I'm going to just focus on the new 152mm naval gun... Here's the thing, it's got 1,100 avg damage per shot, but hitting the front of a tank you're only really going to be doing 300-500 damage per shot, maybe less depending on armor. I'm going to compare stats to the E100 and its 15cm gun HE rounds

But it's not really much of a comparison since most of the time you would be loading HEAT in the E100. But there's 2 things that are noticeable differences between the two (ignoring dmg and DPM) and that's penetration and accuracy.

 

Honestly from a gun that is the secondary battery of a battleship that fires straight HE I was kinda expecting between 100-125mm of penetration. And then there's the accuracy, 0.48 is absolutely shit. I mean;

- JgPz E100 = 0.34

- FV4005 = 0.36

- FV215b 183 = 0.38

You would expect that it would at the most only be 0.4 accuracy. Honestly with 0.48 you will be lucky to hit the side of a barn from inside it.

I have 2 issues with this tank. The first is the gun, the second is the model

 

The gun is the a 12.8cm gun, same caliber as that as the Maus... but that's where to similarities stop, let's compare:

What I don't understand is why the damage is so much higher? Wouldn't it make more sense for it to have the same 490 damage? Would then balance out as such:

Avg Pen - 258

Reload - 12.51

RoF - 4.79

DPM - 2,347

 

the slightly slower RoF would be to balance for the tanks better mobility and penetration.

 

The other issue I have with it is the tank model. Now, the PzKpfw VII / VK72.01 K is based VERY loosely off the design for the Leichter Lowe. Honestly, it's so far gone from historical accuracy that they may as well change the design up to make it at least resemble the current Tier 8 Lowe and the VK45.02B. I'm talking the flat engine deck and the hull extending over the sides. Here's a comparitive image of what we have (left) and what i'm talking about (right)

 

flattening out the engine deck and then dropping the turret hight to maintain the same amount of turret above the hull also means that the overall height of the vehicle would be lowered.

 

Is the tank model an absolute issue? No, it's just one of my pet peeves since it looks so unnatural. It would also offer a bit more difference between the PzKpfw VII and the VK72.01K other then just armor thickness and gun caliber.

I've seen Quickybaby's twitch stream on the 9.17.1 test server and for some reason, he was experiencing lag and the game would also crash. He was also so frustrated that he could not find a battle on the test server that he switched to the live server. 

 

 

 Also, i've seen the new [Japanese] heavy derp guns at tier 9 and 10 and i think it is complete BS for one reason. You only have 2 ammo choices, one normal HE and one PREMIUM HE. yup, and do you know whats the advantage of it ? MORE DAMAGE !!. BUT U PAY MORE !!!. Honestly, i think Wargamming needs to fix the guns a bit, buff the accuracy, aim time a bit and hopefully, lower the price of the premum HE. Because paying about x4 more the credits just to do more damage(if the shell even pens with 75mm of pen) is just silly. they should also buff the Pen to around 80 cuz 75mm isn't that great for tiers 9 and 10.

as for the new 15cm guns. They are the 15cm/50 41st Year Type guns used as the secondary battery on the Kongo-class battlecruiser among others. It was only ever designed to fire two types of rounds: Common Type 0 HE and Common Type 4 HE. Difference was the blursting charge, with the Type 0 having a 2.9kg burst charge and the Type 4 having a 2.7kg. Muzzel velocity was 850m/s.

 

Now, do I agree with how they have set up the gun? No, in this situation they should have just had a single shell type available and that's it. Premium that guarantees more damage is just [edited] and shouldnt eve be considerd if there is no substantial negative like HESH whereyou get less penetration for more damage

2)maus have way more DPM+armour buffs.all the super heavies r getting their armour buffed.but they left out E100.ryt now with all the buffs E100 has the most laughable turret armour,all super HTs get ovr 200+side turret armour.i would suggest turret front to b 270mm nd sides&rear to b 200mm.

3)the game mechanics r good.

4)t110e5 is nt a [edited] anymore.

5)girill 15 was unnecessary nerf.

6)lagges a lot,try nd provide more server for players across the world instead of blaming it on cable cut or suever beiong located at an island.

7)tiger 2 needs a turret buff,200mm front turret nd 100mm side turret.its been  a power creep.185mm is nt at all suited for being at the front line being a HT

How 2 angle turret? 750 alpha gun means it doesn't need to expose often.

Eh. E5 nerf is mainly the cupola which means that its a slightly bigger area which is pennable. The side nerf just means you can actually pen the drivewheel since it wont be 270mm flat on anymore. You can still miss that bit and hit a strip of 1300mm effective.

5)girill 15 was unnecessary nerf.

High alpha, good dpm, great mobility. What is there not to like about it? Its a deserved nerf, it clearly outclassed the other TDs in its tier with a turret, insane accuracy, alpha and dpm.

I think that armour scheme is historical, don't think there will be any changes to it.

Grill15 need some nerf, especially top speed and shell velocity, which is insane for 15cm gun. But now they overnerf it without compesate the new drawbacks with better dispersion, or at least give it 180 rotating turret.
E5 probably should just keep the cupola, but nerf lower plate and gun handling.

Its enough doing 600 with HE, buffing the pen is just wrong. Its premium HESH on the 183, not normal HE.

No, you turn your turret to shoot them after they bounce of you. Turret side will bounce everything if you angle it at all. You have no idea what you're on about.

Yea its a decent nerf. esp after i looked at the model.

Pen doesnt matter, it has bucket loads already and great accuracy. Armour doesnt matter with good mobility.

1 - High pen HE would be no different then firing HESH though. We aren't talking the 230mm of pen like the FV215b 183, just something along the lines of 115mm... in saying that just going to 90mm would be good since Foxh 155, T110E3 and T110E4 all have the same 1,100 dmg on their HE shots with 90mm of pen

2 - E100 turret is effectively 280-290mm of armor at the front, same as what the Type 5 is on test server. Just need to angle it after shots like FlyingFox said

3 - E5 nerf was due to the fact that they unintentionally overbuffed the armor when it got its HD model and only took them till now to fix it... better late then never

4 - agreed, Grille 15 was just out performing everything. Not gonna complain it got nerfed

5 - not going to get into discusion about network connection and what not. This is about the 9.17.1 patch, lets keep it there

6 - Tiger II needs to be at tier 7, sick of WG making historical tanks unhistorical just so they can have it at a higher tier then it should be at

​1)E100 turret is 278mm effective at base,similar to type 5 or mause nd i completely agree.bt side turret armour is 150mm which is way lower than type 4&5 nd maus which have 210mm raw armour making them effective.and all these super heavy tanks have similar playstyle,nt that u cant bounce or side scrape with 150mm.wen ur trying to angle ur front u expose side turret in an e100.but that doesnt happens with mause or type HTs.its nt about E100 is playable or nt,its about being fair towards all super heavies.side turret buff ll make e100 more effective in angling.since der r soo many high pen guns.

It's called effective angling... so what if the turret side is only 150mm? If the enemy is beside you to shoot the side of your turret flat on then either you or your team [edited] up. with this kind of angling while side scraping your turret front is 300mm and the turret side is 490mm... I suggest your learn about effective armor thickness because you can sidescrape and bounce every shot on the side of your turret

did you not read where I said the turret would be 300mm effective? turn the turret 10deg to the left, side armor would still be 330mm effective and the turret front would be 320mm.  I really don't see how it's so hard to understand the simple concept of angling your armor...

He was. And this HE isn't intended to pen heavies and most meds. There is enough derp guns in this game, we didn't even need more at tier 9 and 10 to negate any attempts in angling by enemies. Just reducing the need for skill in this game.

Looks like WG are testing it out, so its possible. However it still isn't necessary, just avoid getting shot for now and wiggle to extract every bit of effective armour you can. Its thickness will not change and karthik seems to have no idea what he is on about re E100 turret and Tiger II turret.

I do believe I said this but I hate when WG make historical tanks unhistorical. Especially wheren theres no need to buff them. Simply, the whole German tech tree is in need of a rework (so is the US line for that matter). 

 

The Tiger II just needs to be at tier 7 as I aldready mentioned and is being tested there as FlyingFox pointed out. 

E100 is already slightly unhistorical as it actually has the Maus II turret mounted on it in-game instead of the E100 turret for the fact that the E100 turret wouldnt have been good enough at tier 10... hell, it would have made a decent tier 8 with the historical turret

 

tldr; if it aint broke, dont fix it
