Hey gang having some serious issues with tank atm. Have never had an other issues except when the SEA cable broke. I got an emaila few weeks back saying the cable had been fixed. Awesome i thought so i jumped back on and had good ping for a few days. and no out of the blue my pings gone from 60ms to 160 with massive lag spikes. re downloaded client (which was also really slow) the whole nine yards. checked wi-fi drivers and even swapped to cable with no difference. Done everything you could think of. Every other game i play is still only getting 60-70 ms and my downloads seems to be OK everywhere (speed test reading back to me what it should be)

Am i only the only and if not did any of you fix it and how so? im currently using Kill ping which has brought it back down to 60-100 ms most of the time.back i think its pretty wrong that i should have to use a third party program here.

Please help lads!

I'm seeing exactly the same thing as you having received the same patronising email. I ran a ping test tonight and it shows the bottleneck starts at Telstra in Perth where I believe the portal out to asia might be (see attached image).

I'm currently suffering awful ping rates and I'm running three continuous ping tests to the following:

Google.com.au - Australia average 45ms

Google.co.uk - United Kingdom average 45ms

Google.cn - China average 260ms

I think that is the answer the Asian cable is either damaged again or at maximum capacity.

No the problem is that one or more ISPs are not routing traffic to SG directly. Whether Wargaming can talk to their network engineers and put pressure on Telstra/AAPT to fix it is another question.

Its hell ironic that AU players have a quest/reward series running as compensation for network issues but we can't reliably play to collect it due to network issues.

I use Telstra Bigpond as my ISP (Brisbane based).

I verified with a VPN that they are prioritising traffic and routing types of traffic differently. my ping was decreasing 100ms using VPN vs no VPN. I complained to BP about this and told them until they fix their routing I wanted a credit to cover the cost of the VPN. They agreed - it's on my file and now when I have issues I ring up and ask for another credit.

WTFast is fine for gaming so try that out as it has a free trial (if you have used the trial before contact their support and request another based on ISP issues etc). See if that fixes your problems.

I suspect there is another issue though as I am getting my normal ping by quite an amount of packet loss .... not sure if it is server side or net.
