use the xp you get from grinding in your tier 4 to unlock/research the tier 5 tank, you can do it with free xp but you will need to have enough to unlock the lower tier tanks first.

so for example you want the T1 Heavy you will need enough free xp to unlock from the T2 medium tank this will include any modules that you need to unlock also for the following tank the M2 medium and you repeat the same for the M3 Lee and the same to unlock the T1 Heavy.

it is alot faster just to grind each tank and use the xp you get then it will using free xp.

ohh so that i want T1 heavy i have to earn xp from M3 LEE right?? XP from M2 medium is useless to research the T1, M2XP just for research M3 LEE...is that right??

yeah your using the xp in tank A to unlock tank B so you can progress up the tech tree line.you can convert xp from other tanks but that cost gold which in turn costs real money.

Once you have elited a tank - researched all modules and any tanks that branch off that tank - any additional exp you earn can either be used to accelerate crew training, or sits as locked exp that you can convert to free exp with gold.

Just one tip: Never use free exp to unlock a tank. Free exp are really important to unlock important modules of high tier tanks, by whcih you can avoid horrible stock grinds.

Pay to win? Having a good tank doesn't necessarily mean instant win nor does it imply an easy pass.

That's a misconception of watching skilled streamers doing exceptionally well on said premium tanks leading to the belief that having such tanks would mean an instant steamroll.

Resulting in people with less than 100 games rushing to buy said premium tanks and playing on tier 8 games only to be handed a crushing defeat due the belief of it being OP.

OP in the hands of a player of a unicum or a teal of which will also be true on regular tanks and downright acceptable to a regular or green player.

Pay to win would mean a player with 30 mins to 1 hour of game time destroying skilled players left and right with less to no effort hence you PAY-TO-WIN.

The weapon is only as good as it's wielder.

When an enemy Arty "one shots" 2 of your teams' heavies and you're in a heavy tank, you know you're screwed.

A heavy tank should have armor and a big gun, if you don't have either then you're not.
