So I know that elite tanks can get the advance crew skills just like premium but I think it would be a good idea to have the ability to swap crew over with out retraining just like with premium tanks following the same principles.

What's your thoughts?

Stupid idea. You'd only need one crew for each nation and class then.

It'd mean that a new player could buy a premium tank, train the crew for it and basically be able to run it on any tank he wanted, provided he used enough free exp.

It wouldn't be on any tank you wanted as there are limitations. Its only a thought and everything stems from a thought, then it gets tweaked for improvements.

After all, tanks crews don't just drive "one vehicle" in real life.

...and how do you propose Wargaming make back the money spent by people on crew re-training and buying premiums for crew training?

Not really an idea that would go down well.... Because it would then be pointless to buy premium tanks. They are currently testing something on blitz where you can temporarily make a regular elite tank into a premium tank... But the gold cost to do that. Is high..

(A good thought for an idea... But tbh. Not the best idea for an already damaged WoT economy esp if the obj252 gets brought out next patch in its current broken form)

Any medium crew can drive a premium medium tank of the same nation thats the benefit of a premium tank that allows WG to generate income

If any elite medium were able to drive any same nation medium then no income from crew re-training or buying premium tanks.

Yes tank crews are able to drive other tanks in real life but they do go on specialization courses for each tank or in WG terms "crew retraining". you can put crews into other same type tanks you just operate at less than 100 on the base skill although any perks or skills at 100% still work

You can prema "premium" certain tanks at some premium gold prices too, which is borderline risky since normal tanks are subject to WG's Nerf Bat™

That is correct, but they don't have to be retrained every time they operate the tank previously trained in.

So maybe it could be implemented that if you use gold to train/retrain your tank for a certain tank then there is no requirement to retrain in the future?

OK rather than me have to go and deal with the forum reports, here is some useful advice.

replying to a post with "stupid idea" will not earn any brownie points, if you are going to reply feel free to disagree but respect the question as it was a genuine one

And if you are asking someone to contribute try not to end it by calling them a troll as that isnt contributing either

Both reports are closed with no further action taken. Play nice.

Sorry, using my phone and it didn't use that last quote correctly

and thanks for that tip Centurion, I thought if I used a crew not trained for the tank then the perks/skills wouldn't work.

I'm not sure you undertsand the basics of the economics in this case. Wargaming are a profit making entity and your proposal would impact two of their most significant streams of revenue from the game.
