With the much needed buffs to the Maus it's still not enough to be honest. The Type 5 is still a lot better than the Maus in every respect. Pen and Alpha need to go up on the Maus, and the massive weak point next to the gun barrel need a buff as well at only 250mm of armor even at angles. The Maus gun should be the same as the new Panzer 7 HT with 258 avg pen and 560avg Alpha damage and the same reload time. Since this tank is so slow and a big target it needs to made up in more than just buffing it's hull armor which wasn't needing a buff.

The Type 5 heavy is just better for bad players now, while the Maus is actually decent with the buffs for anyone who can actually play tier x properly.

Tbh when facing either a Type 5 or Maus, I'd rather face a Type 5 any day... less HP and easier to shoot heat at its turret. Can't sidescrape as well as a maus either because it has those 45 degree angled parts on the front that flatten when the tank is sidescraping.

With the coming Pz 7, it would give players 3 options on what to choose for a super heavy.

The heavily armoured MAUS with the upcoming buff on DPM but with the lowest alpha among the 3.

Pz 7 which sits in between the 2 when it comes to alpha but can't side scrape as well as its contemporaries.

Or you could go for the big boom stick E100.

So it would go like this when it's comes to RoF

1. Maus

2. Pz 7

3. E100

When an enemy Arty "one shots" 2 of your teams' heavies and you're in a heavy tank, you know you're screwed.

A heavy tank should have armor and a big gun, if you don't have either then you're not.
