a curiousity, and some feedback.

 

Advances:

Last night during an advance against --G--, we had an interesting thought pop up.

encounter battle with them, won. second game. default win...... (we assumed they didnt ready up in time, it happens..), third game they did indeed turn up (as we suspected they didnt ready up in time previous game) but then for the final game, on their command structure. they no showed again........ 

now, for both no shows we didnt receive any boxes as compensation... the first is understandable. but the second time they just gave up. thats basically unsportsmanlike conduct(wasting our time, and denying us a chance to play and get some boxes)... i didnt take a screenshot, but we essentially lost out on around 3K boxes+ because they didnt show up on the last battle.  will there be something in future to deter this from happening? because. if your going to ready up for advances, play one or two battles, and then say na, bugger off..... why even bother readying up in the first place. 

 

so whats the possibility of either a warning system/penalty system similar to the global map being implemented here (where say, the offending clan does loose resources as a penalty for say, a second no show etc) and then some boxes for minor compensation for the other clan, who did ready up.. (like how if you readied up and didnt get a match with the advances you got 3.7k boxes compensation because you didnt get a game)

please reduce waiting time in tier 6 que. ave game is 2-1/2 mins, but wait time is at times much longer

For some reason we could not get into a battle we waited 15minutes in queue

Couldn't get into the advances ( We were 5 minutes late but heeeeey!!!! ). Waited for a long time in queue. Then tried eight's no match for 10 minutes finally we had to drop down to 6's.

You have to see it from the perspective from the average clan player. Stronghold and nowadays regular Clan Wars (Excluding Reward Campaign cause that's when every player is suddenly available) don't give player much except reputation if that, monetary wise you lose much more than gain. If any mode was more attractive then I'm pretty sure clans will be more proactive in their participation of the various modes available to players. I'm all for fighting for the name of my clan but hard for other players to follow the same example... that's one major part of the issue.

 

The other part I guess about be not all clans were created on a competitive basis. Evident in the number of opponents we face in CW. That is something I'm unsure if it can be addressed.

The option to not be competitive is down to incentive. Anyone can be motivated with incentives.

As mentioned, make the whole lot credit neutral sand then you'd see how much players like the gameplay as opposed to the incentive.

i managed to organise games yesterday at 6pm. Only took  a 2 hour queue for 3 games.

10 as well took years. Once two people in queue, you need to wait 3 minutes to pair. Wanted to kms in the wait even though we were both readied.

Hi guys,

 

Most of reported issues has passed to dev team, and here's some related info:

 

1. Skirmishes match making time should be less than 3 minutes, if a clan cannot get a match within 3 mins, it's probably because of there's no other clan to match with.

 

However, there are reports that sometimes clans made appointment to fight in Skirmishes (e.g Tier X) but still couldn't get a match when both teams were all ready to go and both waited until timeout, dev team will look into this issue and see if there's anything wrong.

 

2. Advances match making should be done within 30 secs, if the skilled MM cannot make a match for your clan within 30 secs, some MM restrictions will be lifted and your clan may end up matching with a much higher/lower rating clan. And same as in Skirmishes, if a clan cannot get a match within 3 mins, it's probably because of there's no other clan to match with.

Unfortunately there's no easy solution for this issue 'cos it's partially related to low activities in Advances mode, we will keep an eye on this issue and see if anything we can do to improve it.

What is the point of skill based mm in stronghold? If the top 2 clans in this server or any other server play advances every night, does skill based mm mean those 2 clans will get matched against each other every game? If yes, advances/skirmishes are going to be very boring because clans will always face the same few opponents and it doesn't add any variety to the game mode.
