Had a shocker today with the lag while trying to do the mission . Gave up in the end .

Have to ask . Tracert is showing ping is fine . Yet still getting periods where nothing moves . So how does Tracert help ?

I was on 140 ping at one stage today when it froze up .

Sig number 6 gone . In Armageddon - Day 1.  Note the date .

You're a weird mob . I'd like to go quietly into the night . I understand Mods are here to stay . I understand Mission / SH / CW rigging is here to stay .

I'll not bother the forums with these things . Let me go in peace . Not sure though why I cannot try and get cheap gold if it's ok for others to do .

Tracert looks fine but ping spikes to 200 and shots fired are delayed on some occasions. Controlling fast tanks feels weird as some actions are either delayed or not done at all.

Fwiw I've played for a few years and never not had 150-200+ Ping and frequent packet loss. I'm in Sydney.

I'm not tech savvie enough to know how much is within WG ability to improve, but it's the only online game with which I have problems.

Last week is around 10-30 spikes per game, so only playing slow derpers. If I hadn't invested so much money I'd reconsider playing moving forward.

I dropped 50 packets one game on ADSL. Switched over to mobile phone tether and the packet loss stopped, but i started getting 40ms ping jitters. Having trouble deciding which is the lesser of two evils; both ping in the 120-130 range.

Blame the NBN and then the gov't can buy us wargaming golds

Hello's.

After the latest round of alterations.

The techies are standing by for a current update before proceeding with any more investigations.

Please try to keep all information provided below .. relevant for 20th March & now on-wards after the latest changes have been made.

The preferred method of reporting any issues is via ping plotter (in this case, usually its a tracert)

Pingplotter is a small freeware tool which is easily located and downloaded on the net.

With this tool set to ping our server login.worldoftanks.asia

Data from ping-plotter needs to be provided in a method I can send to techies / etc..

When providing information from pingplotter please upload the screenshot to a photo storage site, I usually use tinypic.com

And then link that (not upload the photo) into the forums.

Please / Thanks

Tan

Has anyone been experiencing server lag these few days? The ping would look fine (20ms, green dot) but my tank wouldn't move in game.

It seems to affect only some people in a match, and the unaffected ones have a field day farming damage on the affected tanks.

Here's a replay showing this problem in a match in my Chi-To last night: http://wotreplays.co...x-type_4_chi-to

Next time search the forums before starting a new thread you are thread number 5 on the same topic

"Horrible server quality"

I've been playing the game for 2+ years and the only major issues I've had were the cables which weren't WG's fault. You have to admit that most of the time the servers work fine (60-90 ping, no/minimal packet loss). It's just this surge in players from Korea that is causing more load for the servers.

The servers were chugging along at ~50% load, now they are still less than 70%.

There is not an issue with load on the servers.

Tan

Oh wow ok nice info. What do you suspect causes the extreme lag for everyone on a team then? I noticed that the chat keeps up; I'm still able to talk to the other players experiencing the lag without any issues.

This is happening fairly frequently, seems to have started when the Korean migration took place. Fairly annoying as it seems to only affect one team. Attached is a replay file from a game where we got soundly ROFLstomped by a better team but it certainly didnt help not being able to move at the start of the match, still received accurate fire from the other team however. Not an Aussie problem as ALL the players were complaining about it.

There was a domestic link failure in Australia that has caused some ISPs to reroute some traffic via Tokyo or Hong Kong to Singapore, which in turn has caused congestion on a number of network nodes owned by Telstra Global in locations in the path into Singapore.  This is why other countries including Australia have been affected.

The Dude abides.

Its hard to comment on "a" cause, there is too many factors, and teams working on it making improvements to various things.

But as I said. its like a building capable of holding (For a rough non factual example) 50k people, it used to have 25k people turn up every day, now it has 33k people turning up every day.

The room (or in this case server) isn't bothered very much..

There is other factors though ...

Traffic down certain streets, available parking, trains being overcrowded, the traffic jam on route 3, the broken traffic lights on street xyz

And in the above example.

"Affects people on route 3", doesn't affect people on route 2, 1, 4, 5, 6 ETC.

This isn't specific to one country, its specific to those who use that route or way in..

And it doesn't matter from how far away you came, close countries or far countries, as it is related to that route.

And its unrelated to the traffic light broken between 5pm and 6pm yesterday on a different street.

ETC ETC

I am aware we have made many adjustments to many things.

Including major routing adjustments.

And we are currently not working on anything ... and instead gathering a current status (IE from your current issues / shows on current ping-plotter reports)
As requested here.

Thanks.
I am aware from clan leaders in skype communications that there has been some kind of issues as of ~20 mins ago, at least for some players.
I have sent your ping plotter off and reopened the work order to the techies.

Thanks

So do I need to post my Tracert here? or Do i need to PM it to an admin?

Games are photorealistic, it's like watching a slide show.

Edited by iDd_Sloth, 20 March 2017 - 07:48 PM.

When an enemy Arty "one shots" 2 of your teams' heavies and you're in a heavy tank, you know you're screwed.

A heavy tank should have armor and a big gun, if you don't have either then you're not.

Just got a massive spike and I couldn't move while some others could, apparently good enough for enemy SPGs x 2 cause my Lowe got smashed for nothing...

Not happy...

I'll send to you in usual channel Tan =)
