Observe in third person. Wait until the enemy has fired or is distracted, quickly wheel out and shoot.

Also perhaps compiling all your questions into one thread would help others answer you better and prevent clogging up the sidebar.

Play Arty , you have the least chance of getting shot back when you fire. Unless the enemy team's arty knows how to counter-battery or you're being a dummkopf and camp in obvious arty spot.

Same as Zynth and also perhaps depends on the location and weather if you are in a group of tanks or not.

the person shooting you may not be the one in front of you but a tank way behind the enemy frontline.

Also note that if u are in a group of tanks shots aimed for another tank may also hit you ( there are times I have killed hidden tanks or SPGs just because the shot missed and hit them )

Also you should play tanks which can take some hits perhaps like Jumbo whose turret armour is extremely good or similar tanks

u will be surprised to know how many TDs and SPGs one can damage or kill if one fire at well known camping spots

Play more, it comes with practise. Also drop your mouse sensitivity, lower sensitivity makes it easier to aim at small targets quickly

You can use the render distance to your advantage here. Enable the max view range (445m), and render range circle in the client.

If the enemy is outside the max view range and within the render distance, you can safely shoot them without getting spotted.

This is the trick i use with TDs the most.
