Which is better among the two?

I have the Wolverine and i just moved on to the Jackson. But I started this because i am having second thoughts.

Many players say the Hellcat is better because its faster and has better camo but I checked it out on paper and the gun handling is worse and the armor is so completely crap that my T7 Car can destroy it.

The Jackson is literally a turtle with a big boom stick. Slow, frontally well armored and has better gun handling. But camo is somewhat worse (by a hair) and the grind to the 90 is pretty hard. But it is really bouncy indeed armor-wise.

So, do I change my purchase?

Or do i keep the Jackson?

Debate below.

Jackson hasn't been nerfed besides camo after firing. Hellcat got hit by the nerf-hammer multiple times.

Jackson is probably better now.

Just keep tanks you like, different people have different impression of tanks we drive, if you like the tank just keep it. If you don't like just sell it.

Asking in the forum about tanks you like/dislike is like........... waste of time. I can spend a day telling you how bad a tank is, but end of the day it is you the person playing it that decide to keep the tank or not.

I wish they split the 90mm Hellcat from the historical Hellcat. They could have kept the old Hellcat mobility, removed the top gun and turret, then buffed the M1A1 76mm. They could have then added the 90mm Hellcat as a premium TD, which the US needs more of.

tbh the overall TD nerf was enough to reduce the Hellcat's ability back to tier 6 heavy and medium levels without the mobility nerfs which have made it almost unplayable.

after all the nerfs that the HC received, jackson is better now,
although it's still up to you.

Jackson is so much fun! Those "miracle bounces" arent miracles to me, they are the norm. and it can pen those fearsome [Japanese] superheavies almost consistently.

Altho it IS slow.

I just want to be the one guy who posts the opposite. I only ever played the Hellcat after it had been multiple nerfed - I NEVER had the chance to play it when it was OP.

Once I had a really good crew in it (besides full camo and 6th, BiA seemed to make a crucial improvement in gun handling) and started running gasoline, the thing became a monster (gasoline makes it so it's not sluiggish and also helps with the slow turret rotation). I've two-marked it without trying particularly hard. It's mobile as anything at that tier, the camo is excellent, it's one of the few TDs which has a good view range and the gun does decent damage (though it does require a fair aimtime and the pen can be a bit troll). Generally I will do 2x my HP in damage. For a recent Ace game where I hard carried a T8 game, check here: http://forum.worldoftanks.asia/index.php?/topic/11998-carrying-your-team-to-victory/page__st__3560__pid__1645900#entry1645900

In my mind the biggest issue with the Hellcat is that it's the end of of it's line in the sense that ALL American TDs go to big armour and no camo afterwards. If you want to play stealthy TDs to a higher level, the Hellcat is a dead end and you're better off going up the German line for a Borsig or grinding the Swedish TDs (which I am doing now).

LT-playing masochist. It's too much fun to be a mosquito.
