Against tier 5 or 6 tanks, yes it is ok, against tier 7 HT/TD or higher tier, you probably won't want to try.

The good thing with Tiger 1 is it has a very good DPM gun, for every shot you receive from higher tier or same tier HT, you can usually shoot these tanks twice and thus out trade your enemy in term of damage. With that massive HP on it, you usually win on 1 vs 1 against most tanks.

If you are the low tier HT in certain MM, you can also support your team by being the snipping HT because you have a really good reload gun and you move really well on that tank too it feels like a Heavy MT with massive amount of HP. Pretty enjoyable tank to play if you play it right.

Not to mention it has a pretty darn strong turret after the buffs.

In regards to the OP's question, yes, it can sidescrape. 80mm of side armor is enough that even if you come out without exposing autobounce angles, you still have enough armor to bounce same tiers. However, the problem is that the hull is fat enough that to get the gun around the corner while sidescraping, you either have to angle enough that your side armor becomes pathetic, or you have to expose your front plate. So sidescrape with caution; bait the shot, then poke out. If they don't shoot, just [edited] off somewhere else.

Next goal: 60, and then 62% recents without sealclubbing.

How to achieve this goal: stop playing the T25 pilot.

yes it is good for sidescraping.

remember 2 things tho.

1) not so good against tier 8/9s due to bigger guns, they will focus on u cos u are big HP piniata.

2) works best at mid range. utilize you gun's accuracy against enemy guns inaccuracy. too close and you negate that advantage.

I find Tiger 1's side to be usable against Tier 8 (600 battles 50-51% win at it), angled at 20-30 degree with your entire front side hidden, be it by buildings, rocks, whatever works, combined with moving back and forth you surely will attract some nice bounces from frustrated enemies who thought you're a free xp pinata, although take note you're not a frontliner unless you:
1. are top tier
2. really have to
3. have enemies with intelligent equal to fish
4. are really confident about it

Other than those conditions, frontline isn't really your thing. Mid range sniping is the thing you are, commonly. Snipe, flank if you must, you're an tank with agility almost equal to Pz. IV H.
