Hi guys. Is there a good Light tank line for new players? I was thinking Chinese but it only starts mid tiers so maybe not the best choice. I've heard mixed reviews on the French which i guess only leaves US, German and USSR.

All of which have low tier premiums as well.  Al important factor so i can get crew training and practice in them.

Thanks

Not really, they all require a pretty solid understanding of the maps and vision mechanic. Definitely not a class to rush into.

I played scout just after my first T10 TD,HT,MT and SPG. Now it's easy to play scout after knowing all good positions to run along for a scout.

imho, US and Chinese LT's are a great choice.

BUT

It is the hardest class to play. In high tier games LT's need to be on point.

You are still very new to this game, I recommend you get 5k battles under your belt then play LT's.

Light tanks in general are the hardest class to play especially for new players like you, so as above said, refrain from light tanks till you have more experience(yes i know its fun to go zoom zoom, you can probably try pzic luchs they are quite fun).
I would say the russian and chinese tier x lights are the best, us and french have good lights from t9 and below but the tier x lights in those lines aren't really that good.

Light tanks at low tiers aren't too bad... but be very careful with progression... as the others have stated they are the hardest class to play well in... especially in the higher tiers

I love playing my LT's but without 6th sense it is a 'hit/miss' affair.  I've had a lot of 0 damage gone in 60 seconds battles and a few 2000+ HP (including assisted) battles but only in the battles where I have confidence in my knowledge of the maps and the right match-up (even as a bottom tier LT).  I still can't match it up 1 on 1 with most other LT's as lag and my slow reaction time just means I can't compete.  I do, however, enjoy taking on and inflicting 50%+ damage to tier VII TD's and SPG's in my little tier V T-50 (eventually their support or their experience take me out) :)

Just be cautious of the High Speed Handling of the VAL, she can be uncontrollable handful.

Come on guys, lights can be top tier now.

I was all loaded with premium ammo and junk and sweaty palmed and dry mouthed I clicked to try and get my 13 75 double. Fearing the armour buffs of already nigh impenetrable tanks. Then my brain exploded. I was top tier.

Thanks guys. I'd only planned to get to tier 5 at this stage in them simply because of that lack of game play i have.

I picked up the Locust on sale yesterday to muck around in and may pick up another light if one goes on sale later today.

The A-20 is a good entry level light that plays alot like the higher tier lights.  Quick, good vision, little to no armour useable gun (with a little gold).  Also seeing 6es in it will remind you what it's like to be low tiered in other lights.  Again though 6th is a good idea.

Worth spending a bit of time in it even after you grind subsequent tanks to get used to light tank play without finding yourself massively out-tiered.

Back in the Day, the British had a Tier 5 light Tank, that actually wasn't Too Bad.......

Back in the day i even 3 skilled and 2 striped it, all for naught now i guess.

The only thing to make this sadder would be "Zynth" panzer story.  :arta:

Did you ever hear the tragedy of the Aufklärungspanzer Panther? I thought not. It is not a story the developers would tell you. It's an old legend.

The Aufklärungspanzer Panther was a German light tank, so powerful and great that he could ram kill almost anything he meets. He had such great DPM and speed that he could even hold on its own against higher tier tanks. The Aufklärungspanzer Panther is a pathway to many Kamikazes that some consider to be unnatural. Maybe he was too powerful. The only thing he was afraid of was losing its place in the tech tree, which eventually, of course he did. Unfortunately, his apprentice took over his place in the tech tree. Ironic. His teachings never carried down to his successor the SP1C, thus lost was his teachings of light tank Kamikazes.

RIP Aufklärungspanzer Panther 16th July 2015. You will be missed, friend.

When I was a young boy, I once saw the legend.

When I grow older I will be able to tell my grandchildren that I was there...
