Not that it's likely going to happen, but can we freeze this competition until the cable is fixed?

Was close to qualifying for the Type 62 draw, which I was really looking forward to.

Now that I'm having to autoaim to be able to hit a target, and the shell comes out of the barrel almost a second later, it's going to be impossible to earn enough tokens to qualify.

Unfortunately, no since there's less than 24 hours until the end of the missions.

Ironic. This is the tank I used to get 40 medals to be in the running for the Type 59 ... which will probably go to some super unicorn who has one already, worth a shot though. Was [edited] hard with the cable down though.

ok, I'm a little old and not a member of the 'Illuminati'.. so it's all a little cryptic to me..

First you have to attain one of the following: Invader, Top Gun, Tank Sniper, High Caliber, Defender, Confederate, Patrol Duty..

to unlock the mission, then you have to achieive at least 10 ( I figure they all count seperately as one) to receive the Repair kits etc, 20x for 1 Day Premium, 30x for another Days Premium AND a garage slot, and finally 40x for the large kits plus a 5x personal reserves bonus..

otherwise if you manage to achieve just ONE of the medals you will automatically be entered into the prize draw,

correct?

Edit: having just re-read the instructions on page 1, actually, you have to COMPLETE one of the 4 missions..

[edited]?

Going by my #average joe# performance,  let's take a look at this..

(Number of medals earnt over 10,186 battles)

Invader: 13 Top Gun : 41 Tank Sniper: 55 High Caliber: 195 Defender: 13 Confederate: 178 Patrol Duty: 8

So working out averages, I attain one of those Medals in every  5.3% of my battles, yup 5.3% !

So, please WG, please tell me WHO this exceptional competition is really for, because mister #Joe Average# really doesn't stand a chance, unless he/she owns one of your well-thought-out Tier 8 Premium tanks.. maybe then, and only then might they have a chance,

Now, if you had made it just ONE of the medals to be at least included in the prize draw, ok, but as it is, I would say it's simply another scam, looks good on paper BUT in reality not really attainable for the majority of players.. And if 'getting GUD' is now an intregal part of your future #competition# stipulations, then I feel there is no wonder the overall player population is either shrinking or turning to unwanted mods like #cough# 'auto-aim +' again..

This time, you can keep your Birthday cake and eat it yourself..

Basically, there's a mission called "WG 19th Anniversary Giveaway" which gives you one token when you get any of the listed medals (Top Gun, High Caliber, Confederate, Tank Sniper, Patrol Duty, Defender, or Invader) while using a tank tier VI or higher.

There are 4 additional missions you can complete by getting 10, 20, 30, and 40 of these tokens. Each of these missions have their own prizes that are granted automatically upon completion. You also qualify for the random draw that corresponds to the missions that you have completed.

sorry, you posted before I had finished editing my post.. !

So, going on my averages,  572 medals over 10,186 games = 5.61% that is 1.78 medals per 100 games, so to attain 10, it would take me over 500 games.., 20 = 1000 , 30 = 1500 and 40 = 2000 games..  which is 166 games per day..  given the 12 day time period..

maybe, just maybe if I had started on the 18th August, it could have been possible..  It would very much interest me, how many players actually qualified for  the draw at each stage, 10,20,30 and 40.. but of course you aren't going to divulge such information..

EDIT: Sorry got my maths all wrong, I was concentrating on something else..

Ok, the proper maths should be.. 572 over 10,186 games = 57.2 over 1000 games and 5.72 over 100.  It should if the averages are correct take me 712 games to win 40 medals , which over 12 days = 60 games per day..

I stand corrected and apologise for my terrible maths, an average of 60 games is almost achievable if you factor in the weekends where players can obviously play more games etc.

I would delete the post but that wouldn't be humble enough to admit my mistake!

My cable was never working during the entire event...

On a more serious note, can I swap my Mutz I got last year for a Cromwell B?

7th September is the latest possible announcement of winners. We usually allot up to 2 weeks for awarding but it usually gets done within a couple of days after the list of winners goes out.

Cant wait for the results... Is there a chance WG will release the full number of people who participated in all draws, (or at least just the number of people who participated in the Type 59's draw, just the number, not the player's name list obviously..) when the Draw's winner's list get released?

Nice work with the Automated system by the way, that "count me in" thing makes it  hard to track your own performance in the contest. Also it feels falsely less rigged :teethhappy:.

I know I shouldn't be commenting before the draw result because it tends to bring bad luck to me .Whenever I type something in the game chat at the start of the battle (even just a "hi"... ) we lose the battle..

Having that said, I dont really expect to win the Type 59 as I also think I wouldn't win even if I didn't comment here before the result because only 5 type 59s is not enough for an Automated competition like this in 7k online players (through the day) game like this, but I hope I win at least 300 gold (the smallest prize).

Again thank WG. Prosperity for you and for me.

Forum Guy: "All that Marks of Excelence does is to encourage Damage farming over winning".

Me: "YES sir, MOE does encourage dmg farm over winning, just like winning does encourages: YOLO, Camping far back, gold spamming,"world of capping" mindset, OP premium tier 8's purchases, chat rage, platooning to farm win ratio, toxicity, seal clubbing, arty spam etc..... So i guess winning is much more toxic and bad behavior than dmg farming???"  Wait a minute, wow no one has ever thought about that this way??? Then I must be a genius                                                                                                                                                            https://worldoftanks.asia/en/hall-of-fame/vehicles/A100_T49/#wot&w_ts=overall&w_nb=500

My gut says it will be a fairly big number as some of the medals were pretty achievable. But it would be nice to know what sort of chances we actually had.
