Okay, Up until the last 30 games in my Tier 7 IS-2 Chinese Heavy I felt like I was doing a fairly good job, however seeing loss after loss over those 30 games (I think I won about 4-6 :hiding:). Unsurprisingly my WR in her plummeted and my confidence take a bit of a beating. Anyway I've got the 110 unlocked and I'm wondering if I should just keep playing the IS-2 to get a better understanding of her, or if I should just start playing the 110. Strangely I still feel comfortable in the IS-2 but I feel I must have changed something without realising it, what I don't know is what.

I'm still going to keep the IS-2 for the daily doubles so I can continue to use her for crew training as they'll eventually move to the WZ-111 1-4, and am currently training up my 110 crew in my WZ-111 which I love playing. This way I'll have 2 fairly good Heavy crews.

for most of us when grinding win rate will fall, factors like crew training and learning how to play the tank an upgrading.

My UDES had a winrate of 45-46% when I was grinding towards the tier X. Now that I completed it, I focused back on UDES and raised my winrate to 50%. I think if you're focused on moving up a tier, you lose focus on the tank you're currently using plus crew skills also have an effect.

It really depends on your circumstance.

If you need the credits to move up to the 110, you may have to sell the IS-2, unless you're willing to grind credits with your IS-2 or you have premium tanks around.

As you said, you're keeping the IS-2 to train up your crew.

Lastly, you did say that the WR on your IS-2 plummeted and affected your confidence. Possibly, you can also choose to keep the IS-2 and continue fixing your WR on it, although I advise that you start fixing once you know how the game works, or it might just lead to it falling even more. Furthermore, winrate isn't the only thing making your tank look nice, there are other things such as average damage and experience and WN8, if you want to go an extra mile.

There may be other options, but these 3 are what I normally think of once I am done grinding a particular tank.

It's depend on the reason you keep the tank !

1.You keep the tank to do Personal mission/Clan War.

In Chinese HT line you want to keep the WZ-111-1-4 for doing mission and 5A+113 for CW.I don't like the IS 2 and 110 much.

2.You are a tank collector

If i must choose a tie 7 HT to keep.I gone keep the T29 USA HT.But for me the tie 7 is not good anymore,Tie 8-10(For stronghold and clan war) and Tie 9(This tie have best MM for now) is much better option.

3.You are a 3 mark player.

Some of  my friends buy a tank then play it until they get 2,3 mark of excellent then they sell it and move on ! This is very good way to play tank and really improve your skill

About the win rate you just need to  platoon with your friends more.

About the crew training Using a normal tank to train crew is the last option, just train crew with the WZ-111,.You can grind credit and train crew at same time.Make a crew with 4 skill is good enough for 1 tank.I use my WZ-111 to train crew for all my Chinese tank.

Good luck man !

110 is quite a different beast from the IS2. Simillar to wz 111 so you shouldn't have any problems with it.

but to be fully effective you need to play to its strengths and minimize its weaknesses.

even if it sucks for you, you should still grind it thru to the wz 111 1-4.

Now that is a rewarding tank, much satisfaction with the huge boomstick. and of cos it leads to both the 113 n wz 5a which are very popular CW tanks.

110 has more reliable armour than the the IS-2 and a more accurate gun.  Just the Alpha shortage is frustrating.  I find the last 20k of a grind often sees a collapse in win rate so I have to keep tanks for W/R recovery after I finish.
Salt glorious salt : They can not do what they want with unclearly way.

There isn't much point keeping the IS2 when you have a prem WZ111. It's not often a tier 7 event comes up, and there's far better tanks for tier 7 than the Chinese IS2.

I'd be getting the 110 and have 1 crew in there. When you get the Juan For have your backup crew skilled up ready to drop in.

Also the 110 probably isn't a keeper anymore, the defender kinda takes care of the tier 8 CW meta with the patriot, and possibly the IS3. Do you really think you'll need a second crew?

In terms of grinding the line I'd only have the 1 crew and go to the 110. Your crew will then likely hit 3+ skills at tier 10, which is much better than a 2+ skill crew that will take a tonne of extra grinding (skillwise).

If you were doing it to be a tank collector than I'd still run the 1 crew through the line and throw a green crew into the IS2. I find it unlikely you'd run it that often that grinding the skills for a second crew would need for it to be viable.

But it is your choice, do what makes you happy.

Only reason I kept the 110 is that I (foolishly) dropped CWs camo on it because it was lurking in tier 8 CWs meta for a while before it got Premiumed out.

In Cumpain 2 I didn't care if players readied up an IS3 or a 110.

now the 110 player would be added to blacklist.

I guess times must have changed. We used to run it in the odd tourney... granted against some of the less developed teams, but still. Does still have better gun handling and DPM than an IS3? For that matter, what is the current tourney meta?

IS-3 has god gun handling. Its Defender spam though for tier 8 isn't it?

Tier 10 is where its at for tourneys. Screw this lower tier crap
