If the E25 is for sale once a year, an OP tank for tier 7 that I only play for TD missions and clearly breaks games. Then why not sell the Type 59? It's more well rounded in its tier than the E25 and less damaging to matches.

​Reserved or not, doesn't break the game (China server isn't war gaming controlled so it gets a pardon) unlike the E25. Might want to consider the ol' switch-a-roo.

Nah if was broken you would have 3 MOE on it

Lol, looking at my tank line up are we. Yeah but they get up on the market from time to time. So why not make them all reward tanks for tournies, why does it have to be the Type 59 which is no longer mythical. Make it purchasable and the others rewards, seeing as they are "OP".

Type 59 for sale? Don't think i would worry about it.

Isn't the T34-3 a better type 59? I'm also pretty sure they have the same hulls as well.

Well IMO its just the 59 was the "original" game-breaking tank, that flooded the servers and caused lethal quantities of salt. That is its mythical status. 

 

Type 59 for sale is the Wargaming equivalent to "Hannibal at the gates"

1. WG want a rare tank to give away - type 59 isn't op anymore - but its still rare!

2. Apparently there's a limited number they can give away per year. Can't remember how many, might be around 12 or something.

Is it not still a prize when you buy those boxes? Just because the number available has changed does not change the fact that it is still a prize that you must win by chance.

The point was that they are rewarded for winning competitions and not purchasable, which they are now, given the random chance. What you have highlighted is that said chance for purchase is a form of gambling. Well done you.

​Nothing I have said states that I don't like the fact that the Type 59 has become purchasable in some way (Luck included). The whole topic was started because I felt that the Type 59  should in fact be purchasable like the E-25 (reasoning being that I find the E-25 to be game breaking, at least for me anyway, compared to the Type 59).

Thus circling around to the comment by wasabi that the Type 59 is "reserved for competition rewards" no longer remains true (at least for Christmas anyways).

I am merely sparking discussion in the hopes that the company will one day make the Type 59 purchasable. Which seems to have occurred.

Woolies I really wouldn't get excited, it really isn't that good. It certainly won't break games like the E25 (tho I don't think they really break games too much either).
