Greetings Everyone,

 

I would like to announce that we are proceeding with the first step in cleaning up and restructuring the forum. Please note to all:

 

All threads older than 2017 and inactive for at least 3 months will be archived.

 

What does this mean?

• Very old and inactive threads will be placed in a new public archive. 
• These posts will be available for viewing
• These posts can no longer be replied to
• The Archive will only be in three (3) categories: Official Posts, On Topic, and Off Topic
• Old Announcement posts will be archived and replaced with new posts with up to date information
• This step will be conducted throughout this week.
• Archiving will be completed by Friday, 16 March 2018

 

This step is in preparation for the adding, removing and combining of the current forum sections. 

Actual changes to the section will begin next week. This will only happen in the English part of the forum.

 

I will not tolerate necro-ing for the sake of necro-ing. Trolls who necro posts in an effort to disrupt this process will be sanctioned swiftly and harshly.

 

We apologize for any inconvenience this process will cause. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

What about the threads used to mark down people's progress over time? Do we just have to bump them to keep them there?

Ezz, if the thread is old and it is quite active, we keep them. If a pre-2017 thread is inactive for more than 3 months, it's a bit iffy. However, if you do want to keep it alive, a bump would be fine with a message why you are keeping it alive. 

I will review it and most likely leave it alone. If I think something's not right, I will reply to the thread to clarify before taking action. Do note that everyone will still be able to read them in the archives.
