Hello Players,

As you may already know, we've had a recent wave of banning players for illegal mods. There have been players contacting me through out the night (thanks for that) about them being wrongfully banned.

Please know that we are willing to discuss your cases privately with our support team.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

You either die a hero or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain. Guess which one I am.

The message here is clearly not to risk it. If you are a running a mod you aren't sure about, you are just putting your account at risk.

Who the [edited] are you? Get Spoofed! "wouldn't be a proper WG balance change if they didn't [edited] something up after all "

No need to name and shame when they are naming and shaming themselves.

Weird.... all those flamers and ragers telling me they were going to report me for "illegal cheat mods" weren't successful.
What a shame.

I knew the Intel competition was a trap

You silence those who speak the truth, and you wonder why everyone is talking rubbish

You reward those who win by cheating, and you wonder why you can't produce people who can win while playing fairly

You punish people who put in effort to play, and you wonder why all who remain are the unmotivated

Dear Players,

We're all very sorry to hear some of you have been banned by using illegal mods. It's to assume most of you are not the creators of the mod(s), merely players wanting a different experience than vanilla who had no intention of using illegal mods. However, please keep in mind that the list of illegal mods is constantly changing. What was legal before, may now no longer be the case. Keep in mind mod compilations, and old mods always carry high risk. Please make sure to update yourself with Wargaming's Fair Play Policy. You can access a short video explaining the updated 2018 policy here:

As for players that were sanctioned, who didn't download any mods this update, please be aware that there is a significant period between detection and bans in order to combat creators of illegal mods bypassing detection and updating countermeasures, thus you may have been sanctioned for ban in previous updates. Playing fair and keeping our game updated is something i'm sure most players will appreciate. We all want to enjoy this game fairly, and so sanctioning illegal mods will continue. In the case you're certain you've been incorrectly banned, please log a ticket to support for further assistance.

Best Regards,
Active

Oh for crying out loud again... WG promised us all that mods would only be made available through a MOD portal in which was vetted and therefore approved. I've always seen any MOD as illegal and chose not to go down the risky path, but how are people who do use mods supposed to keep up? You created some sort of portal on your website, but includes some mods to which I would call illegal (like the autoaim extensions) are still there in the grey area.

In fact a lot of mods have actually been incorporated into the game, so one day they are illegal and next they in the game as vanilla?

For example the clear statement of "Software that leaves “ghosts” of enemy vehicles on the battlefield, indicating where they were last detected"

Clearly that was an oversight of the current rules as the minimap had been modified to include this as normal.

And toxic MODs like XVM are allowed to continue? How about create the "private" statistics like AW does. That way, you don't get ePeen players provoking other players after a battle or in the forums? It's just creating more resentment for the game IMHO.

I've never player WOWs, but a lot of players are quoting they can't mod the game? Maybe it's the time for WG to see this maybe a good solution or just keep to only the aesthetic changes to garage and in game UI.

Or you could just download from the recommended WG mod website, which should be more advertised. People like health rings on minimap, HP of teams, MOE mods, wn8 in garage and in game, being super lazy with crews, etc.
