I loved The VK 30 01. P. It was one of the best tanks Iv'e ever played once I got it out of stock. It had great speed, great gun, (Just bad accuracy but after adding a gun laying drive, it improved a lot!) it was great at bullying tier 4s. I even got a mark on it. However, the tank that comes after it, which is the tiger p, its speed is terrible. Its even slower than the KV-4. I already have top engine for it, and its still very slow. Please gimme some tips on how to play. (Example: What equipment to use, best crew skills/perks, which configuration to use, play style help) Thanks :)

It is support heavy. Armor that does not stand for much, dpm is lack lustre, mobility if also poor, It suffers. Bottom tier you play the support role, try supporting your own top tier heavies etc. Top tier you struggle. If you are top tier you will generally have an IS or a T-29 on the enemy team, and they are way better tanks.

The tiger p has a thick plate in front, but then the turret is weak. so if people do not know your weakspot and/ or use auto aim you will bounce some shots. if the enemy knows where to pen you, you will struggle. it can be a hard grind, but stick with it. the VK 100.01p will be worth it (if you like the superheavy playstyle.).

The Tiger P trades the DPM of the Tiger I for relatively more armor. But the Tiger P is riddled with weak spots that aren't too hard to figure out for the average player, and so you can't even rely on the armor too much even when top tier.

It mounts the same 88 L/71 as the Tiger I did, but as I mentioned it fires a bit slower. While you can and should still snipe in the Tiger (P) whenever possible, you may struggle to get that damage out. You're no good for brawling either since you can't out-DPM your way out of trouble like a Tiger, and getting flanked isn't uncommon.

Support the other heavy tanks and medium tanks on your team when top tier, hang back and snipe when bottom tier.

Owned Tier 10s: Obj 907, IS-7, Obj 140, M60, M48A5 Patton, STB-1, WZ-111 5A, 113, Centurion Action X, Super Conqueror, Badger

Failing that, imagine you are a shitty Tiger I. That's basically it since your armour is just as effective even though it says it isnt.

It certainly needs some weakspot removals. e.g. stupid hull corner weakspots

Yes since it leads to not 1, not two 2, but 4 lines. It really does need a major buff regarding speed and armor. Tiger 1, meanwhile, only leads to the tiger 2.

From bean counter pov, that is exactly why Tiger P needs to be weak tank :P.

Actually Tiger (P)'s Hull corner is weaker than VK 30.01 P

VK 30.01 P : 147- 152 mm while front facing

Tiger (P) :111 - 116 mm while front facing

This is coming from someone who has over 500 games in it due to grinding all 4 lines from it as well as trying to get around to 3 mark it.

Just avoid it, or turn on a booster and grind a for an hour at a time, and get the x2's/x3's/x5's etc

It sucks at everything, the DPM is worse than on the Tiger I, but it also has worse gun handling because reasons. You can't really snipe much due to the DPM and gun handling, but you can't really brawl much due to your armor being more weakspots than armor.

The gold penetration is also poor. Then again the penetration values are very far from historical, considering the AP of the 88 L/71 was around 234 and the APCR penetration was 304, these were the results by the British and Russians with guns they captured, but y'know, WG things.

Even the 128 on the Maus/Tier 9 HT's/tier 8 TD's is using the penetration value from 500m but in-game it is used as the value for 100m.

Most WWII tank guns in the German tree have much lower penetration that real life because WG couldn't be bothered calculating out the 30° of the plate they shot.

Use your RoF and front armor and don't over angle, Your side armor and hull corner is weak. Thats it.
