And remember that you really must have reserve tanks set up. I've seen people desert due to having to wait for their tank to respawn.

Thta's the main reason why I only played just 1 Frontline battle and have no intention to play again as I have only the EVEN 90 after throwing out the T44 & T32 Tank crews from my barracks and garage.

The t44 is just perfect. Amx 50 100s can give you a huge tactical advantage. Black dog is pretty good for medium tank alpha and the 3 enhancement slots. For TDs....I have seen isu 152 doing really well on defending teams. For capping defender or vk 100.01p or o ho is really really good. Centurion is also good for sniping and Ridgeline engagement.

In general...tanks with good alpha and gun depression are ideal.

The EVEN 90 is unable to shine in Frontline as light tanks seemed to have a distinct disadvantage especially in terms of alpha damage.

IS-M is amazing in FL. You just RR into the enemy and they still can't do jack about your existence.

If you play the M40/43 and you have both spotter planes and artillery, you can spot for yourself and artillery while you are reloading.

RIP Aufklärungspanzer Panther 16th July 2015. You will be missed, friend.

But not for long. For "Heroes never die."

Based on my extremely poor excuse of playing, I found that I perform best using the

Jagdtiger (H) :P j/k...

The Centurions I find are pretty good for me here. The Type 59, I felt was not as good as I hoped. Kanjgpz is great due to camo but really terrible damage.

I haven't tried most of my German tanks yet.

You either die a hero or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain. Guess which one I am.

Lights are a ton of fun and have the advantage of being able to equip 3 different items to use.

So far been playing a lot of AMX 65t in this mode. It's...not really the best tank for this mode, or for any scenario really, but FL's the fastest way to grind the damn tank. since my turret armor is finally relevant, and no tier X to butter me. 65t is pleasantly effective, either as a 120mm 400-alpha tank with some mobility and gun depression, or as a 90mm slower FCM 50t with actual turret armor.

T-44 FL is a rental, and I drive it like such. Fortunately, it can handle the abuse.

Alpine / WZ-111 I once used as an all-purpose defender. Enough armor survive getting to cap, enough DPM to maul anyone in cap, enough speed to get back out and drive back to the repair station. Just gotta spam HEAT, or drive forward even harder, as needed.

Am finding, Lorain 50t and progetto for auto\autoreloaders.. Great mobility, good allround trades and even though armor is lacking can still spot. Lorrain is op in a HT\normal med - TD - lorain platoons.

Non autoloaders: my picks are cent 5\1, great turret and fantastic for end game areas where constant fire and a little armor goes along way.

Patriot: HT equivalant of the cent 5\1. T32 will do similar..

S1 or a,scorp g.

And my final pick would be m41 90 gf
Speed, spotting, 5.5second reload with good ap, fantastic HE rounds. Esp into all these lightly armored tanks and into backs of tier 8 HTs, and when you need it 250 heat is godlike. (never needed it yet tho..)

2nd Gen Pyromaniac, born of the ANZAS winds.......crazy commando of anzaf of old, and namer of BadIntent..

Cent 5/1, Progetto, Primo.  Have the FV 4202, but didn't have a spare skilled crew for it.  Tried Obj 252U, JT8.8 without much success.  Skorp is probably the better TD.  Jumped in the 44 for the hell of it and it is pretty ok considering it had an unskilled, base-line crew.

I use the top upgraded, arty support to loosen a stubborn defender.

Problem with the game is that even the brand new players were "issued" two Tier 8 tanks and they don't know what they are doing.  Most times they go thru their 2 tanks quite quickly and then the team is short for some time while they wait to get back in.  I do like the credits though.

In good hands, those things are a potential annoyance, especially if you let them slip past and allow to run rampant in the rear, especially a threat to SPGs and slow TDs (as they should be)

But then you also risk meeting players who can hit all shots at a zigzag LTTB from 400m.

50% winrate @ <1000 games, both players are from the same platoon, displaying this kind of skill level, surprise surprise.

Finally unlocked the top gun module on my Emil I, now I can really rip into enemies without ripping through my profit.

I much prefer the Emil I over the AMX 50 100, since having a 4-round 105mm drum feels a lot more impactful, and the shorter-ish reload than the Frenchie means I don't have to run too far away from a fight and can actually afford to stick around in hull-down positions thanks to that turret. And there's plenty of Italians to feast on. Great on the defense and attack at C IMO.

The Charioteer is one of my better damage dealers, and that laser fast APCR means sniping can be a breeze provided I keep some distance from targets.  On the defense this tank is almost ideal for fighting retreats, especially on sectors D and F.

I accidentally ran the KV-5 last night.  It wasn't entirely shit.

Enemy had to suicide charge 4 tanks into the cap to finally kill me a couple of seconds off a solo cap.

I've seen them on opposing teams but they haven't lasted long.  I've put a different crew in mine to the 44-100 so that it's available if I get the urge to try it out.

Have had to switch all my tanks to AP loadouts to prevent cred drain. Loving the mode allowing you to flank so I don't need APCR in my WZ-132, especially with its not even 100% commander.

IS-M as well is enjoying the ability to not fire APCR so it also has a Frontline loadout.

Frontlines, making standard ammo great again!
