I would like to ask, how is the arty now so accurate ?  I can be doing 48 km/h zig zagging , with no enemy in sight and then be taken out by one shot of the artillery. If this only happened once , it wouldnt bother me too much, but it happens so often now it is beyond a joke. In some games it appears that the arty is even more accurate than the tanks and tank destroyers

Last time i played for a while,  i was in 2 games where one arty scored 7 kills for the 2 games. And they were different arty not the same player. Either arty is cheating, or they have made the balance of power swing too great to the arty's favour.

I can't say I've noticed much in the way of accuracy when playing arty; most shots tend to go somewhere I'm not even aiming at. When on the receiving end they do seem pretty damn accurate though.

What sort of number is so often?

1 game in 10? 1 in 100?

Suggestion: We should just have one giant "Post your confirmation biases!" thread.

LT-playing masochist. It's too much fun to be a mosquito.

So to everyone else this is realistic ?  I can understand being killed while camping, but to be killed while driving at speed is a different matter.

That's normal with 1.0. My EVEN 90 was tracked by arty and lost almost all my hp even though I was travelling at 70 km/hr in a zig zag line. Arty splash damage has gotten deadlier after 1.0.

Yeah, it happens.

If you drive in a predictable pattern every time you are spotted, and there are no other lit targets I will judge a lead and position on you and let a shell go.

May only hit 1 in 20 in that situation, but always satisfying :-)

I am pretty sure artilleries gained a little bit more gun accuracy or better dispersion in expense of lower alpha and a more stun-based role. On my M12, I noticed aim time to be a little bit better, shells are flying where I am or near where I aim and reload being a bit better.

Then again, it could be due to the incorporation of the (Battle Assistant?) mod which makes it easier to lead shots hence the scenarios where tanks at full speed are being hit, splashed or stunned by arties.

Why do I still play this game?

Thats weird, BA make lead shot harder for me. Its way easier to lead using top down view. While BA help to gauge shot for target on ridge or window trick shot,  both are still target, not moving.

Arty is accurate because it doesnt need to hit to ruin your day :)

Different people have their preferences I suppose. I find leading easier in BA mode since I get to see from the shell's perspective. For some reason, I also find it easier to guess their movement and splashing is made a little bit easier.

Don't expect arty to be balanced or realistic. The mechanic in this game for it is a farce. Having worked for years in Artillery I find the capacity for it to hit moving targets with ease a disgrace …. especially when WG wheel out historical discussion mode :P
