People could always get it for free as a mod.

File locations:
World_of_Tanks\res\packages\vehicles_level_06.pkg\vehicles\russian\R77_KV2\_skins\WH\

World_of_Tanks\res\packages\vehicles_level_05.pkg\vehicles\french\F05_BDR_G1B\_skins\WH\

Extract with 7zip or other file archivers.

To use as a mod, copy all the files from the WH folders to:

World_of_Tanks\res_mods\1.0.1.1\vehicles\russian\R77_KV2

World_of_Tanks\res_mods\1.0.1.1\vehicles\french\F05_BDR_G1B

Respectively.

The mod still under review... if you mean the "THEMANTIKOR" version...

The files are in the game's packages, anyone can just extract it from the game folder and put it in the mods folder, that modpack does the same thing.

Not really. Blitz has lots of reskinned tanks like these. Just some are offered to us PC users.

Dota also make stuff like this with 40k. But the price tag are real cheap, pretty much the same as their standard skin price. GW must be holding some grude over WG that they giv such high fees to use 40k paintjob.

Reskins are fine, but this costs double a normal t6 prem.

I think the price hike is because the Ragnarok style is considered a separate product, the Mordian style is 10.89 USD, so extract that from KV-2(R) WH40k and you get the price of KV-2(R) only, except they don't sell it without the style unless you count the one in the tech tree.

Since WG start selling official skin does that mean there's a chance for official GuP skins on WoT PC?

I want commanders in open hatches as an item you can mount on your tanks. Most GuP stuff I couldn't care about, but I want an Erwin on my STB so bad, lol.

That is bullshit. There is no KV-2(R), this is a separate tank entirely. This is more akin to a Primo/CromB except with some branding on it.

This should be taken into account by WG's revenue from this tank. Its just a [edited] KV-2 that has been reskinned, you aren't paying an extra $20 just because its a premium, you are playing an extra $20 because WG are using some absolutely scummy monetary practices. This is plain and simple bullshit and they're probably going to get away with it to.

This should be $20, not $40.

Even if we go by the supposed $10 (FOR A [edited] SKIN) its $30, 50% more than a normal tier 6 premium.

This value add shit is complete and utter bullshit. What the [edited] WG.

The difference between this and Primo/CromB/Rudy/Fury/Liberte/Patriot/Defender/Guard is that the cosmetics is actually removable as it is a style, KV-2(R) itself can be customized with regular camo.

Since they're selling the BDR G1 B Mordian style, logically the KV-2 Valhallan Ragnarok set is actually a set of [tier 6 premium heavy tank] + [style], two items.

The price for standard is USD 31.40.

Now I'm curious, since the file for the Ragnarok style is placed in the KV-2 folder, can the style be used by a regular KV-2?
If anyone bought the Ragnarok, please confirm this.

$31.40 is a rort. And at $10 a skin, WG can seriously go and [edited] themselves.

This is still double the price for a CromB/Rudy/any tier 6 prem.

It is the same price as a Centurion 5/1.

Unless its a tier 8 premium, there is no justification for this sort of [edited]price.

I don't understand what WG's basing their prices from either, I'm so used to online games streamlining the prices of their in-game items where an item of the same category all have the same price that WG's pricing style seems so odd. Tanks of the same type on the same tier have different prices on the premium shop, why is a T26E5 cheaper than a T34? I highly doubt it's because of development costs because an online game's development costs is ongoing and not per item/feature.

But in the end it is WG's product and this is WG's game so they can price it any way they want.

The only thing that stands out in the Ragnarok set is the style. My guess is they're planning on selling more styles in the future and if that is the plan they have to get the players used to paying real money for styles, basically put a price tag on styles and make sure everything bundled with it also includes the price of the style itself.

Fisrt time i hope nobody buy a prem tank, since I wan tank skin in WoT sold cheaper instead of near T8 med price. But yeah, its WG call. Maybe buff its credit earning to match with T8 prem to make up for the insane price, thats sure make it worth it.

People have been sarcastically saying that a KV-2 should be a tier 8 tank.

Sure its WG's call but as consumers, we should be criticising this extremely scummy business decision.

$10 for a skin is actually pretty standard price as far as cosmetic items in an online game goes.

But yes I think they shouldn't have bundled it with a premium tank, sell it as a style for the regular KV-2 or at least offer a KV-2(R) without the style, maybe WG thinks a premium KV-2 isn't worth selling on it's own.

WG will probably monitor the sales of Mordian style and KV-2 Ragnarok to see which path to go on in the future.

What REALLY kills me is the cost of "Worn paint" (which you can barely see when overlaid on most camos). Now THAT'S a joke.

I wasn't joking though.

Of course in MMORPGs cosmetic stuff has more variety and you can mix and match and so on. They also get more complicated because player economy usually exist whereas WoT's economy is only between the player and the game.

I'm surprised WG decided to just straight up sell a style instead of doing what other games do and lock them up behind a gacha/lootbox system. They could make some new and exclusive colors like pink, gold and so on, put it on a gacha/lootbox that also contains gold, garage slot, credits and various other items then they put the style in there with the lowest probability of dropping.
