Hey guys, mainly looking for opinions from purples here but I'll consider all responses of course.

What is the Progetto 65 like to play? Does it suffer badly on city maps? I haven't seen many around so I'm a bit worried it won't be worth blowing my free XP on.

I have the option to go for the Progetto or the 705A. I already know what the 705A is like and I really enjoy it, but I'd love a tier 10 tank with the new autoreloading mechanic too.

Thanks!

The 9 is similar to the leo prot but with the prosecco treatment. And while the leo prot to leo progression is a truckload of meh, the prosecco 10 gives you an actual usable upgrade.

It's only me, but every time I've seen a Prosciutto 65 in a TX game it's been massacred early every single time. Never ever seen one carry, ever.

The few decent players I have seen in it have done fairly well. Take note that this is in 3 5 7 mm. In full tier x match ups they are likely to do less well. That said, they did seem rather fun to play on the test server, which is why i am grinding it out.

I think yolo'ing idiots are giving them a bad name just as they did when auto-loaders first presented.

My experience on the receiving end of them is that the ROF can be murderous and the flexibility of switching to a sustained single fire is of huge benefit (eg when they can't back off for a long reload). Armour is as effective as most other similar mediums and the hit/pen with them must be ok given the irregularity of misses and bounces from even random scrubs.

Played well I think they have the strengths of both single fire and auto-loaders …. so potentially very very strong. Being a new tank I'd suggest WG erred on the side of going OP to bring in the bucks :P.

Thanks guys yeah I actually haven't seen many good carries in it hence the thread. If its anything like the Progetto 46 it will be awesome but I'm worried it'll be less effective tier-for-tier.

I might go check out Skill to see how it plays.

I'm not saying it's not good, 'cos I haven't played it, but it seems like just about all the major streamers panned it? Foch called "Exhausting" to even get an average TX result with it (and that was after the late Supertest buff). What is it that these other players are seeing or doing that the more competent reviewers (i.e. not like QB or others who don't actually know how to review tanks) missed?

Also I have yet to see any review anywhere on the T9, which interests me a lot.

Anyone have any opinion of it at all?

For what it's worth, the tier 9's been consistently scoring 55% on vbaddict.

Huh! Well, that's certainly not bad. The Prog 65 is basically identical 54.9%

The big question for me is which will end up being better (or more fun), Tier for Tier - the T9 or the TX? I only have one crew to dump around, so I gotta pick 9 or 10.

I have both T9 and the TX

Im just an average player btw. Given my stats and everything. Not near unicum level at all. And I main mostly LT followed by MT.

For tier for tier wise. I'm picking the tier 9 more than the tier 10. It is mostly due to the matchup on the Tier X and also, the upgrade towards the tier 10... is...well you can't say it is too significant other than the gun getting better aim time, better dispersion. But less depression.

- Both are still paper tank. But the armor on TX can be quite trolling. I had a few time I bounces shot from Grille 15.

- But T9 have better mobility stats, and gun depression, albeit gun being more punishing on the dispersion and aim time. But you get good penetration already with it.

- When the TX going against another TX... it feels slightly more underwhelming. Since all the basic stats are average with the exception of the special gun. Over a wide map, it can do quite well. But small map requiring brawling... pretty much will be a pain (But Im just an average, so I can't say I'm doing too well either) - And pretty much if you meet bobject... well (I guess bobject depresses me)

Its more tiring playing the tier 10 than the tier 9.

Im playing the tank as a first line support. Due to the reload.

Well... I guess I should try playing the TX more lately and give more input ==;;

If you prefer more fun I would suggest the tier 9 more. Its a Leopard PT but with alternate gun.

Thanks. Yeah, but one game doesn't really show how a tank can perform consistently unfortunately... and that was an open map too so it's fairly easy to farm on big open maps in a paper medium, much less so on a city map like Himmels. Would like to see it performing there to get an idea of how good or bad it is.
