Hi,

For the past four days I have been unable to play WOIT on the ANZ server due to the ping being high and erratic. I am unable to control the tank and the shots etc are delayed.  Is this only from Perth?  I have checked with my internet provider and the ping to Sydney is 33 but when I log on to WOT it is 300+ but comes back to 120+ when the game starts.

Does anyone have any ideas how I can fix this?

Hello.

Don't worry about timeouts on a tracert, they don't mean much.. Its the rest of the information and the information as a whole which means more.

You can pm me (not posted publicly for your security) the tracert in the forums if you wish, and your ip address.

Or.

Perhaps you are logging into "auto" and logging into Singapore instead of Sydney occationally

Which is affected by a Perth -> Singapore cable outage at the moment.

If you wish to log into the AUS server, make sure you select it when logging in.

Regards
Tan

I have tried tracert which indicates the ping is 55ish but when I get on to world of tanks it is anything between 59 and 200 which makes it impossible to play.  I have updated the drivers on my video card, tried various times and tanks but still cannot play without not being able to fire at tanks which are disappearing, the screen freezes and the playing screen is jerky and unclear.

I am buying a new computer in the hope that something is fixed.

Is anyone experiencing this from Perth?  I have had a problem for the last two weeks but the tracert keeps telling me the wort I have is 58ms.

Can anyone help as I am having withdrawals.

I feel your pain however cable is now fixed acc to Vocus (below).  What hasn't been fixed yet is Telstra routing which is still taking us Perth folk on a tour of the eastern states.

Ping is better though.

Please be advised that SMW3 repair work has been completed. Link has now restored and back in production.

All Ethernet and transit traffic, in and out of Singapore, has now been restored on to the direct path.

Still waiting for Telstra to fix the routing for Perth users, any chance WG could assist with this?

I've tried but response on Monday was 'it'll probably be done sometime this week'.  Other ISPs seem to have already done it.
