...look my friends, 3/5/7 match making in World of Tanks simply sucks and is no fun to play, that's the simple truth, and it's long overdue for fixing.  But have no fear, I'll walk you through how to fix it:

How to become a somewhat-less-tomato Tanker:

Live Stream (Every Thursday, 'Tooning /w Tankers!)        -     Map Guides (where the heck do I go on this map?)

Scout Guides (how can I be useful with a little scout tank?)    -     Ace Tanker Library (how do I play this stupid tank?)

Tanking /w Science (is VSTAB always better than a GLD?)     -     Sweet SWAG Store (All your favorite 4T&D gear is right here!)

Not a huge fan of the idea of 5-5-5 in the sense that there's more tier 10s to crush tier 8s.

Nowadays the gap between top and bottom tier in +2 MM is worse due to powercreep, and getting bottom tier is more and more common with the low server population on AU.

I still maintain that 5/10 and 10/5 are what the templates should be based on, and pref MM tanks should always be top tier (Let's face it, some tier 8s are really tier 8.5)

Applying that to the logic behind your idea, I think the MM could be fixed for the better.

Honestly 5/10 matchmaking is so enjoyable, they should just go to that.

I have a solution but wargaming is not gonna like it.

Make all random battles same tier. If mm takes over 2 minutes put the tank in battle as top tier in -2 mm.

It is not hard to impement and will not have adverse effect on the game or the player base.

High tier tanks have very low credit making capabilities and for those dedicated players who actually grind the lines and reach higher tiers....cmon these guys deserve to be top tier occasionally. PMM tanks can also remain in game without having to be buffed.

But as i said wargaming seems reluctant to change 3/5/7 mm and they are not gonna like my solution.

So it is just my opinion based on frontline and playing broken 3/5/7 mm.

Edit: forgot to mention that this solution is to be implemented only on tier8 tanks as wargaming's revenue is mostly t8 premium tanks. T9 mm can be +1 in current state of game.

Single-tier MM sucks, I rarely enjoy it.

I opt for 5/10 matchmaking as it means that the top tier tanks still get to be top tier and feel more dominant like they should, but at the same time the 10 bottom tier tanks are only 1 tier down and as a result are still completely relevant.

I'm in favour of 5-10 +/-1 mm seems to be the best way to go these days with the differences between tiers getting bigger.

BlackBerrie (9:30:24 PM) you have to be 58% win8 to get in there clan.. which is impossible

100% agree with you napper the best games I've been having.. (enjoying) are the 5/10 template. WG should potentially look at favouring this over the others and only go to 3/5/7 if it can't fill 5/10 or 15/15 (equal tier).
I mean being bottom tier doesn't phase me in 3/5/7 I just feel the games aren't quite as enjoyable or balanced as 5/10 / equal tiered matches.
