Update 1.0.2 due for release

Surprisingly no threads yet on this topic however 1.0.2 has been released in RU, EU and NA this week so expect it in Asia next week at the latest.

Highlights would be:

 

Two new Soviet tanks, the K-91 Medium Tier X and the Obj 277 Heavy Tier X.

Nerfs to the Obj 268 v4

  • Increased dispersion during movement by 33%.
  • Increased dispersion on hull traverse by 33%.
  • Changed the hull traverse speed from 23 deg/s to 22 deg/s.
  • Increased dispersion on gun traverse of the 152 mm M-53S gun by 20%.
  • Changed aiming time from 2 s to 2.5 s.
  • Changed the gun traverse speed from 30 deg/s to 28 deg/s.
  • Decreased hull armoring
  • Changed the top speed from 55 km/h to 50 km/h.
  • Changed the reverse speed from 22 km/h to 18 km/h.
  • Changed the engine power from 1,500 h.p. to 1,350 h.p.
  • Changed the durability from 2,100 HP to 2,000 HP.

 

Buffs to gun handling and nerfs to armour of the Obj 430 v II

  • The 100 mm D-54 gun was replaced with the 100 mm D-54U gun.
  • Decreased dispersion during movement of the Object 430 Version II enhanced suspension by 14%.
  • Decreased dispersion on hull traverse of the Object 430 Version II enhanced suspension by 14%.
  • Changed dispersion of the 100 mm D-54U gun for the Object 430 Version II enhanced turret from 0.38 m to 0.35 m.
  • Changed the reload time of the 100 mm D-54U gun for the Object 430 Version II enhanced turret from 8 s to 7.5 s.
  • Changed the aiming time of the 100 mm D-54U gun for the Object 430 Version II enhanced turret from 2.9 s to 2 s.
  • Decreased dispersion on turret traverse of the 100 mm D-54U gun for the Object 430 Version II enhanced turret by 25%.
  • Decreased dispersion after firing of the 100 mm D-54U gun for the Object 430 Version II enhanced turret by 13%.
  • Changed penetration of the UBR-412B shell for the 100 mm D-54U gun from 219 mm to 246 mm.
  • Changed the vehicle view range with the Object 430 Version II enhanced turret from 390 m to 400 m.
  • Decreased armor of the hull and turrets.
  • Changed the vehicle durability with the Object 430 Version II turret from 1,600 HP to 1,500 HP.
  • Changed the vehicle durability with the Object 430 Version II enhanced turret from 1,700 HP to 1,600 HP.

 

Updates to various maps

 

Customisation now extends to Tier VI and VIII and the exterior can be viewed as if in game before committing.

 

Bootcamp has been improved and fleshed out.

 

No mention of the silent hit bug either being fixed or being a known issue.

Nothing surprising about it. If we want info on patches we get it from other sites days before rather than being treated like a mushroom (you know, kept in the dark and being fed on Manure) on The WOTs official SEA forums. And as for asking when we will get it, well why bang our head against a brick wall and get ignored until 5 minutes before it is released.

So how did the testing on the nerfed 277 go? Or did they not bother?

All I care now is whether or not the nerfs are enough so that everyone WON'T feel like actual Unicums by just pressing W. 

 

Oh ya, EULA/PPMM kefuffles too, as I still see the populations remaining low.

You can see from the new stats (below) that they have reduced accuracy, increased the aim time and reload time, and basically screwed the gun handling altogether.

 

Obj 277 new stats:

2200 Health

265 AP pen / 340 APCR pen

Dispersion 0.38 at 100m

Aim time 2.7 seconds

4.8 rounds per minute

12.5 seconds reload time

Gun depression / elevation  -5.5 / +15.5

Specific power   17.27 hp/t

Traverse 32 deg/s

Top Speed 55 kmh

 

It is either the same or worse than the IS-7 except for having 0.5 seconds better reload, better penetration, and shell velocity.  None of which matters with the garbage gun handling.

Seems like not power grinding for the Obj 277 was not a bad call on my end. Nothing special about it anymore, not with the shit gun handling it has.

The gun handling's not that bad, still better then an is7.

I saw some Russian streamer and see something

1.They change the Obj 277 's  APCR to HEAT.The streamer i watch can make 3k to 5k damage per game with it.
2.The K91 is a sniper elite tank .Good camo,view range and super accuracy gun .The streamer i watch can make 4k to 6k damage per game with it.

The funny thing is the K91 can hit enemies from far range but....can not pen them with APCR,he must use alot of HEAT.I think we must check mini map more about distance before shoot with this tank.

Had to check NA forum for the lul, end up having facepalm instead. Come on, the game dont need another super all purpose hevium, balance in random are far more better than new CW powertank shit.

I have a feeling WG always planned to do those nerfs all along, just a way to get people grinding the T-10 line.

 

The 277 has better straight line speed, apart from that it is inferior to the 5A. The fact that the 5A has better DPM , maneuverability and 7 degree gun depression really seals the deal, and by all accounts the ammo rack on the 277 is quite exposed and weak.

 

Lucky I have the 430U, after the nerfs even that tank is a better heavy than the 277

The ammo rack and fuel tanks were apparently moved so this may have helped. Also the 277 has harder to hit cupolas so i guess there's that. Basically it looks balanced which is a plus. Plus they've at least tried to nerf the 268.4 tho jury's out as far as if it will be enough. Speaking of the 430u one wonders whether they'll look at trying to balance that at some point too.

The T-10 grind was one of my easiest in typical "yes I'm grinding a russian tank" fashion. Reminding me of ALL the other tier 9 russian tank grinds I've done...

Got to 230k xp really quickly.

 

If the 277 is anything like a beefed up T-10 then it should be awesome. In, again, typical russian tank fashion, the T-10 paper stats have nothing on it's in game performance.

I just need to grind out about another 3 million credits in tier 8 prems, and I should be good to get both tanks [insert sounds of torture here].

 

Though I have just started the obj 430 II grind, its, AGAIN, in typical russian tank fashion, a super easy grind at tier 9. It is an amazing tank.

Get that xp done before the nerf hits.

But, AGAIN, in typical russian tank fashion for this game, all nerfs are so minor, they are pretty much unnoticed in play.

It's the 1 second off reload times, or the 1/3 TOTAL increases to engine H.P. that russian tanks get, that can be felt in game.

You'll notice the 430.2 nerfs tho. As you say, grind that XP ASAP. Tho to be fair there isn't much reason to rush to the k9 really.
