Feels unchanged to me, but without data this is all meaningless anecdotes.

Bush camo values in 1.02 are still ridiculous. When I need to move into proxy spot range to spot a t26e4 in a tank with 466m view range there's something wrong with things.

Coordination adds to the classical lanchester's law. Hence as the overall ability of the player improve, the greater the chance of a one sided result.

 

In other words, the pubbies are getting better.

The minor bug for hull camouflage on customization from previous versions still exists, if an applied camouflage on the hull has non-default setting(not medium pattern scaling) then a different camouflage is put on the hull and instead of pressing cancel then exiting, I press "Esc" on my keyboard and exit without saving changes, the hull camouflage on my vehicle is reset to medium pattern scaling instead of large/small.

 

Another bug on customization is that I can't save changes if the only changes I do is pattern scaling on an applied camouflage. For example if I have a vehicle with camouflage applied, I go into customization and change the pattern scaling, the apply and exit button cannot be pressed.

I am not sure how people feel about "gold" shells... but they are way too overpowered at the moment.

 

I started playing World of Tanks many years ago, and since then, the games in the Tier 9-10 brackets have degenerated into whoever can spam more gold shells. There is no tactics, no teamwork, and no fun. Tanks that are supposed to be impenetrable from the front have their armor reduced to paper against these premium shells. Countless of tanks have just popped out, fired without aiming, and penetrated the front of my IS-7, Badger, Type 4 Heavy, T110E5, etc. WITHOUT AIMING (I've checked where the penetration holes are). I know Wargaming wants to make money, but seriously, gold shells penetrating frontal armor without aiming? Give me a break... and this is happening 3 out of 4 games. There is 0 skill required for Tier 9-10 tanks, just a big fat wallet.

 

I'm not saying remove "gold" shells from the game, but they shouldn't be able to penetrate frontal armor without aiming. The current penetration power of these shells are way too high.

IS7 and Badger are pretty tough if the lower plate is covered, and for the IS7 you are not angling. Are you too exposed? If you cover the lower plate those tanks can only really be penetrated by a small number of gold shells which need to be very carefully aimed.

 

Type 4/5 are just asking to have gold fired at them. Its the price you pay for driving a tank with a zero aim, do damage regardless of armour gun. They are renowned as 0 skill tanks.

Moreover none of this is really a 1.0.2 specific issue. WG creating armored behemoths and corridor maps started well before that.

^ complaint was about all tier 9/X tanks just firing gold and penning non aimed shots.

Still waiting for a few things.

 

Leopard 1/E50M buffs.

Tiger II, E75, Panther II and Jagdtiger to get their old, more powerful engines back.

430U to be nerfed to be around the same as the 121.

Churchill's to be buffed.

Japanese & Chinese meds to get a bit of love.

 

Fix all the invisible terrain/rocks that are on every map.

 

Oh and limit to 1 arty per team already.


3 M.O.E Tanks: E-100, Panzer VII, E-50M, Leopard 1,  E-75, Leopard PT A, Type 61, Tiger II, VK 45.02A, Indien Panzer, IS-3, STA-1, T-34-2, Type 59, Tiger P, Jagdpanther, StuG III G.

Feel free to check my stats, I'm pretty sure I have my basics covered. I'm getting penned through sloped turret armor, and really odd places that always bounce non-gold shells, and I'm getting hit in these places because they aren't aiming, yet they still penetrate my armor. That's what is so frustrating for me at the moment. I've even been penned through the gun mantlets. Its frustrating when you are playing well, hiding your weaknesses and still get penned through areas that you shouldn't be. I know people are penning me with gold rounds through XVM (also the sizzle from the sound).

 

Its reached the point that this game is beginning to feel like it has become pay-to-win, which I really hope it doesn't.

So we're apparently getting a micropatch tomorrow that "fixed some technical issues". Any details on what those fixed issues are?
