Yes of course. But you saying .6 is the average for everyone is absurd in itself. But anyway no point getting into it, there's no convincing arty apologists.

Erlenberg. Actually had a town (of sorts) map in a heavy tank for a change.

But, no...

 

M53/M55 in Prokhorovka. Good map for arty, ja? Would be except the BC 12t doesn't know how to play a light tank. Had three enemies go straight past him down the 1 line without getting spotted, because the entire time he was sitting in a depression near mid (not that triangular one on the 2 line, but just south of the mid ridge). Thought to myself this guy's a real shitter, and should never touch light tanks again.

Go figure.

 

Overlord. We had beach bums. A lot of beach bums. Two other tanks joined me mid, but they peeled off to chase a Type 64 that killed our Lorr, having sneaked straight past. Also had a LT sitting in mid being less than useless. Wasn't spotting, and didn't even shoot/track a KV-85 on the other side of a building that I had to spot FOR HIM, and was out in the open on his side. Couldn't even [edited] hit that. FFS! He could at the very least try to [edited] help out by tracking it rather than have the KV-85 and myself in some riduculous dance around a building while I have 3 enemy arty shooting at me. Jesus [edited]! Turns out to be a 44%er. Really, shitters who play tanks with the highest skill ceiling are only gimping the team.

 

Province. Yeah...

Only issues here was a SPG that was trying to focus fire on targets it couldn't hit rather than the VK 45.03 sitting out in the open. The easiest class to play, and some still can't manage it. Other issue: [edited] RNG. 13 shots, 5 pens. So many misses at close range. Also those bounces. Two bounced off the side of the SU-122/44, but that armour is quite trollish anyway, but to have a 122mm shell bounce off the perfectly perpendicular side of a Hellcat with less than 200 health? Get [edited], RNG.

 

0% win rate. I remember when my IS had a 56% win rate, and that was only a few days ago.

Why is me saying that I average 0.6 hits from arty absurd. That is what it is. And where in the hell did I say it was for everyone? 

 

And the unicum on the NA server who played 1000 battles and recorded how many times he was hit with arty got 0.6 hits per game.

 

I also know from watching hundreds of games of the top players on the SEA server with no XVM camo or clan camo that they get hit by arty 0.6 to 0.7 times per game.

 

There's no convincing stat deniers is there? Especially when it shakes their world view that those nasty warsty arty players are out to get them.....

 

And I'm neutral on arty. But just as unicums getting better MM is called out for the rubbish it is, so should all sorts of demonstrably wrong things.

There's nothing absurd about an average covering everyone...it's kinda what averages do, isn't it?

As to better players getting focused by arty, if you're racking up kills and punching a hole in my team's front line, I'm shooting at you, why the hell would I do anything else?

Not a rage post, but posting here because there's no facepalm thread.

 

Winning 13-7, only enemies left are two atries we know the location of. Everyone's rushing to that one location except for one person... on cap. People saying no cap, still caps. Get to arty location just in time to see them. [edited] 48%ers...

 

Who knows, those two enemy arties may have turned the tides against 4 heavies, 1 TD and 3 arties.

I got one of those last night, about three games after I missed an endgame "disciplinary" shot on a teammate, due to being killed a few seconds too soon.

 

Was not happy.

Getting a bit peeved with the physics engine. Got flipped onto my side on a rock on El Halluf because I turned my tank on the spot. The front corner clipped the rock and instead of doing what you would expect a tank to do IRL and just stopping the turn, instead it magically rides up and over a rock 2 times the height of the tank flipping it over and wedging me now against the rock.

 

Of course despite 'pleze helps' I got no assistance from my team despite being the only remaining scout in the game. Special thanks to the STA1 that drove right past and could have given a nudge without risk and who I still ranked higher in the team result despite being stuck for half the match..

No reason some arty clicker should be hitting a LT on the move.

hehe Press (in GWT with german gun arc...) got me a beauty last night. In the Blackdog, top speed, moving completely laterally and about 150m away from him for the kill shot and he snap shotted me......

I enjoy Widepark. I don't think its a good map but I don't think its terrible either.

 

Meanwhile this just happened to me.

 

Just an ordinarily terrible team of campers. About 4 of us went to the hill and got obliterated. I called my team shit and went back to the garage. Later on decided to check the results and found I still came first despite dieing 3 and a half minutes into the game. No one managed to do better despite having an extra 12 minutes to farm damage and assistance.

Tonight's RNG....trying to get 500 dmg for HT whatever STuG and feels like as soon as I got it RNG decided to take a number 2 on me. 

 

bounce, bounce, ricochet, bounce, ricochet, ricochet.....bounce.  In the Lowe, T30 with a perfect side shot at the hull, nope screw you bounce.  Or my last game that was nothing but critical hits.

Are cap missions that hard? I often see bots trying to cap even when we vastly out number the enemy and victory is assured.
