probably stupid question.. does coated optics and/or binocular vision (up to 445m)  help at all in E25 with a view range of 460m

optics works when moving or staying still, while bino works only when stationary. So when you are stationary the bino takes precedence, while when moving the optics works instead. So basically only either one works.

Personally I use rammer optics vents because the e25 usually keeps moving around to take shots, and it has a high camo value so you don't really need a bino if you are using optics.

Having a view range longer than the view limit is still useful as it reduces the camo effect of your target even more.

I have the opposite logic. I use camo net/bino's/vents on the E25. With the camo net active you can be on the frontline farming damage and remain unspotted most of the time. It already fires fast enough.

The maths is pretty easy.

Base: 360-416m

Optics: 396-458m

Binocs: 450-520m

The former assumes 100% crew and no extras, the latter vents, food and all applicable crew skills.

In gameplay terms, I'd think that if you run food and have a commander with 5 skills, you probably don't need either and can safely go for camo net/vents/rammer as the optimal setup for invisi-sniping. On the other hand, if you're a camper with a scrub crew, binocs pretty much pick themselves. Optics are a viable pick in between those extremes, and are particularly useful in late game situations.

Im lazy and use the standard TD setup of rammer, camo and binos.

Works well enough for me, plus camo net allows you to still fire unseen in some stupid positions, whilst binos means you can self spot.

Whatever works best for you.
