Hello Everyone,

I am trying to gather statistical data on when the lag starts to spike. We understand that most of our players have good to ok ping but experience lag spikes that can be prominent during specific hours.

What we need:
"regular" ping range: (x ms - x ms)
Server connecting to: (HK or ANZ)

Approximate time when lag spikes starts: (please indicate timezone)

Your ISP if possible:

Sample:

"regular" ping range: 80ms - 90ms
Server connecting to: HK

Approximate time when lag spikes starts: 1800UTC +8
Approximate time when lag spikes stops: Didn't notice :( stop playing while still laggy

Your ISP if possible: CHT

Thank you! I will be collecting this on a regular basis. If there are any details you are not comfortable with, you're welcome to exclude them, however I have already selected the least information I can gather for an effective data set.

You either die a hero or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain. Guess which one I am.

Since Tuesday my connections been hobo'd. Packet loss is unplayable. Numerous calls and discussions with optus tech support have been fruitless (they are full incompetent). I'm still unsure if its a problem my end or not.

Normally I get 50ish ping to ANZ and 180ish to HK with no packet loss.

Now...

"regular" ping range: 40-60ms
Server connecting to: ANZ

Approximate time when lag spikes starts: all day
Approximate time when lag spikes stops: Hasn't stopped

Your ISP if possible: OPTUS

"regular" ping range: 160-190ms
Server connecting to: HK

Approximate time when lag spikes starts: all day
Approximate time when lag spikes stops: Hasn't stopped

Your ISP if possible: OPTUS

Tonight (11pm 31/7/18) I'm getting bad lag spikes to the Sydney server. I live in Sydney and my ISP is TPG.

Usual ping to Sydney is around 30 and ping to HK is around 150.

My normal ping to ANZ is 80-110 and HK 120-180.

During the hours of 1800-2359 I am seeing a tendency for the ping to be at the upper end of the range and maybe +20 and I am getting significant packet loss. However after loading up ping-plotter it is apparent that at least half of my packet loss is due to local congestion (home use and ISPs under-provisioning). Still there does seem to be a bit further downstream.

But I need something to blame for failure to earn a single chevron in three nights.
