Hello everyone, 

 

Ranked Battles season 2 is underway and we would really like to hear what you think. Let's keep in this thread so I can find them easier. 

So far, we had the issue with the deployment on day 1, we appreciate your patience with us as we worked it out. 

 

Thank you for taking the time in both participating and providing us feedback to make the future seasons better.

I would give you feedback if i could play the mode. Till now i have had the pleasure of playing 2 ranked battles. and have since not been able to make it.

I would really appreciate if the time could just be extended by one more hour. thanks. :)

Played five games yesterday. Failed to get a single chevron. Mode clearly broken!

I'd really like an allocated time when ranked is ONLY available on AU. I'm really struggling to get players within my range to play.

 

I had to wait for 30 minutes to get a game on AU. Took this screenshot at 15 minutes:

Playing ranked on HK isn't that bad but the routing is still sub-optimal (150ms compared to 120), so I miss a few shots.

 

Potentially this problem could be fixed where the total team rank for both teams is the same. Say for example two players that are matched equal 17: you could have a rank 3 and 14, or a 10 and 7.

Imo the exp system still doesn't make much sense, people doing little dmg but a few kills, or spg getting high exp still etc.

Obj 260 Get! 296/300 done with honors!  75/75 obj 260 missions done,71 with honours! :^)

3 mark: 1390 leo pta is-7 e5 t26a 2 mark: m46,obj 907, 50100, e100, batchat 25t,  t57 heavy, grille 15, obj 140, is-6, is-3, vkd, pzivh, mutz, spic, CAX, 113

XP has always been this way it's just that people hadn't been worrying about it. It's about battle contribution so those that had had years of wn8 focus will probably be scratching their heads. I mean there are still people who sort by damage in their after battle results.

I think all new rank levels should be locked.

 

Increase the amount of Chevrons between each rank if need be, but any system that relies so heavily on your team, where your progress from 2 nights can be wiped out by a bad streak, is not worth the frustration.

I'd like to have the 44%ers spread evenly between the teams.  Not all three on my team and the three Crown players on the other team.

I think its great, I played 5 arty games and won 5.

Cant get a game on AU?  150 ping and plenty of PL on the HK server? No problems.

 

Why play the real game with proper tanks when you can have pubbies spot and do it for you and farm easiest chevrons ever while doing nothing except click m1 occasionally.

Definitely like the two arty max per side. Would enjoy zero or one arty per side even more but that’s probably asking too much. I didn’t do season 1 but did the test season and so far am liking season 2 more. 

 

Had to to look up what the hit points on rank 5 meant and they look like a great idea. Nothing worse than losing a rank just before hitting  the unloseable one. 

 

Per above, battle wait times for ANZ are shocking. 

 

Also I do like how ranked battles work towards Kursk daily missions too.

played for 2 nights - nothing positive.. just get angry and frustrated. 

rewards just cover expenses..

almost full time job to get extra 2.5% to one of my equipment? nah.. better play pubbies for fun ^-)

Played few with my E100, got bored and goes back to grinding. Some game Im at the top even with barely 2k dmg and little assist. How do they count the xp now?

They are rage, brutal without mercy. But you, you will be worse. Rip and tear until it is done.

It has definitely been a sobering experience to learn just how bad I am at T10 and how much I rely on having lower tiers in a battle to bully.

So far I've enjoyed the ranked experience although the last two nights have been pretty bad with passive teams camping like mofo's but that's more down to the players than the mode.


 

 

The experience system is still a bit of a mystery especially the "other" category. I've had games where I've done the more dpg/blocked/assisted, each with a kill, but scored less in the other category. This has caused me to either lose or not gain a chevron which is pretty frustrating. I was obviously further away from the action and got penalised for that. To me battle contribution is more than just being in the brawl zone. It appears you can sit safe behind a rock/building and be within proxy spotting distance and get more exp from this category. Not sure what the answer is but I think it needs further refinement.


 

Wait times for ANZ are terrible so I gave up early on and now auto log into Hong Kong and play all my ranked games there. But there are still ping/lag issues from NZ which means I missed shots, or weak spots.


 

Server times were good so I finally had a decent crack at the mode. Credit burn was real so any improvement to the economy would be appreciated. The 3-5-7 debacle obviously makes grinding credits in premium 8's a major pain.


 

I now need to grind some meta heavies to give me better options for playing this mode :)
