Why would platoons influence it?

 

You can only have 1 arty in a platoon.

Yup, it was quite some time back when they stopped arty plats as there was concern that plats would all focus one enemy at a time.

Oh, are you trying to hide from arty? Haha I can splash that. 

 

Blindfiring the scout rocks on airfield never get old. Having said that its about the only time I will fire at scouts early. Too low a percentage shot when winning the main fight area is critical to get the snowball rolling.

 

I will keep looking for counter bat opps while on reload or if one of my allies pings the map. 

 

I am pretty keen while in any semi mobile arty to get pretty close behind my HTs, french ones are great for this. A constant rain of never miss shells in very effective. And generally I am moving as soon as I fire so as to keep good angles into enemies.

but there are a few maps that are worth counter battery like mines south spawn. North spawn is harder to counter.

Its great watching the splash where you just were not too long ago. Especially in mines, I had an arty try to counter me for the entirety of the game. He ended up with 0 damage.

Depending on the splash radius of the arty, always go for the LT to start :P

 

They usually are predictable in where they get lit and you just need to land a shot near them to give your team a huge advantage. Then I go around and annoy people hiding behind rocks.

Only if i have been cramping up and need some extremely salty salt. :honoring:

 

I need maximum annoyance in the first 5 minutes to make the effort of taking an arty enjoyable. For me that is max number of rounds fired. 3 seconds extra aiming is 3 seconds less salt.

3 spgs in a platoon combined with voice comms is a recipe of unfun games for the enemy team. Used to do that on a friend's account before the match making changes

Yep I remember the giggles of our 3 man LefH arty platoon stopping a Matilda at extreme range. He did last for a reasonable time and it would not have been fun for him.

Just play tier x all the time. That way you can bully the lower tiers or play against the same tier
