While there are some moderate bonds rewards for hitting various the various stages in Ranked, realistically it's easier for most players to make more bonds simply by playing regular TX games. As a result, queue times are lengthy or sometimes games can't even fire as only top players are bothering to compete at all and the MM struggles desperately to scrape together enough players for matches after the first few days.

Ranked battles are typically all-TX matches. Why are bonds not awarded to the winning team as they are in regular random all-TX battles? Would WG ever consider changing it to match so that Ranked would actually have a chance of providing a minimal reward commensurate with the cost of playing the mode for everyone?

Chevrons are worth more than bonds - as when you go up the ranks you get bonds.

Yes, but you only get them once. Top players will continue to play to try and improve their ranking but have no immediate return for this once they earn their stripes and can simply quit playing. Middling-to-good players will reach a point where they're in contention for rewards but have to fight hard for many matches to gain a chevron or two. Bad players (*puts hand up*) will only obtain a few chevrons, then stall out. In all three cases, players can reach a point where they will quickly cease to earn rewards for actually playing other than the delayed gratification of end of season bonuses. Even then, I recently looked at the leaderboards and it seems you need to be rank 9-10 to have a chance of earning even third-tier rewards, which for some players on the bubble could mean a long grind with only a slim chance of a later reward.

It's not like the bonds they give out in randoms is exactly a LOT, usually 4-9 among winning players, so I doubt this would change the match massively for what WG gives away. But it WOULD provide an incentive to keep lugging away at Ranked, so that queues can fill and games can fire.

It's also not as if I'm the only person who feels ranked is too little reward for too much effort. I've seen the same comments from players at a wide variety of skill levels.

I still think it's morally wrong so in fact I'm right.

I can understand why you'd be asking this, but it's more or less double dipping. The reward for going up in ranks is bonds.

I actually agree with Fram here.

I run directives in Ranked to be competitive, as I'm sure a lot of people do.

Even a small amount for the winning team would encourage winning a lot more (which can't be a bad thing, considering how people seem to play in Ranked...)

The issue is that for more than 50% of players, the rewards for Ranked are WORSE than playing randoms if calculated on a per-hour basis.

I lost a battle yesterday when a platoon of obviously RB regulars didn't go for hill

They later got highest XP from surviving the longest. But they still lost.
