Competitive Ruling: saffe (Team Efficiency)

Context:

Team Efficiency player "saffe" has been found verbally insulting other players during his stream while commenting on APAC League participation rules.

After a review, saffe is being issued a 2-game (1 matchday) suspension from the APAC League.

saffe will be eligible for the APAC League on September 15, 2018.

Relevant rule:

5.1.1. Insults

All insults occurring in connection with the APAC League will be punished. This primarily applies to insults that occur during a Match, but also includes any insult on Organizer’s platforms or websites (forums, match comments, player guest-books, social media channels etc.). Insults sent on IM programs (e.g. Skype, Discord), by email, or via any other means of communication will be punished if they can be linked to the APAC League.

Depending on the nature and severity of the insult, the penalty will be assigned at the discretion of Organizer either to the Participant in question or jointly to the entire Team.

Competitive Ruling: Darksider267 (Bad Intentions)

Context:

Bad Intentions player "Darksider267" used his APAC League account (BAD_Dark) in order to send messages to another player in game chat. Even if the message itself wasn't an insult, it was still part of a bigger trolling activity from several players and joining it with APAC League official accounts is not acceptable.

After a review, Dark is being issued a 2-game (1 matchday) suspension from the APAC League.

Dark will be eligible for the APAC League on September 15, 2018.

Relevant rule:

From the guidelines on how to use tournament accounts (Tournament Accounts Agreement):

"Trolling, griefing, chat abuse, or any other disruptive behavior will not be tolerated."

Competitive Ruling: Jordy (Big Daddy)

Context:

Big Daddy player "Jordy" reached out to NoFreeWifi captain suggesting the possibility of exchanging scrim replays. Obtaining NoFreeWifi replays would have eventually helped Big Daddy in preparing their upcoming matches against a direct competitor.

Even if replays weren’t shared, players must understand that scrims are not to be leaked outside the two teams playing the training match.
Big Daddy agreed through their captain to enforce a zero-tolerance policy and monitor its players to avoid similar cases.

After a review, Jordy is being issued a 1-game (1 Bo3) suspension from the APAC League, to act as a warning.

Jordy will be eligible for the APAC League from the second match on October 6, 2018.

Relevant rule:
5.3.4. Complicity
Any arrangement(s) made between two (2) or more Participants for the purpose of causing a disadvantage to opposing Participants. Complicity pertains to, but is not limited to, acts such as:
- Any form of communication between the Participants of more than one Team that is intended to put any other APAC League Participants at a disadvantage.

Relevant rule:

Anything that falls short of that is considered to be unsportsmanlike and will be penalised depending on the severity of the behaviour as determined by the Organizer.
