I don't even understand why this concept is in the game to begin with. I also hope the answer isn't "to make the game more realistic" because a lot of things in this game aren't even close to realistic.

 

Can't we just remove this mechanic in the game already? It seems pretty useless. People shoot other people when they are salty, and others do it by accident. And whoever causes the team damage has to pay credits.

 

Its also against the game rules anyway, so I don't see why we can't remove it altogether.

I'd be all for removing the battle buddy award and then tightening the automated team damage limits. That should improve things a great deal.

Where's the +10 button. This worked in frontlines, why can't it work in pubbies? If they really still want it then keep it on in training rooms and competitive scenes (E.G CW, Comps etc)

So people cannot take reckless shots with their allies in the way?
Uh hello thats part of the game too. Its possibly the only thing that stops people from taking risky shots (especially arty)

I'm not good at this game, its just that the rest of the server sucks~

Kinda something like this. The 'risk' game stuff. If I already mark where im shooting, and some green decided to dive in anyway, it means he already accept the risk, so my shot will fly there. Its part of the game.

I read it somewhere that the devs think that removing the team kill mechanics will cause more problems than it will solve

I'd be interested to hear what they have to say about it.

I think the biggest problem is a frustrated/toxic TKer will just end up getting around the fact they can't shoot them and just push them out into the open or off a cliff. Which already happens anyway.

Another problem is those bots. These cheaters use bots just to play their games and some aren't even programmed properly. You can easily tell a bot apart from a player. I encountered a few. They seem to be programmed to shoot whatever is in front of them. And yet another reason to remove this part of the game.

but there's no team killing in blitz just saying. I don't actually play it, but I have seen others play it. There is no ability to shoot team mates at all.

Why use blitz as a comparison when it worked out pretty well in Frontline, on PC.

Honestly i wish they would remove team damage completely except for arty. Arty should still have team damage since it works by area of effect, whereas tanks have line of sight. This is an arcade game after all not a bloody simulator. Or make the safe shot mod part of the game so people can choose to turn it off and on.

Some players need a "safe space" mod to turn on and off. And they should be pushing for more of a simulator. But then again, that doesn't agree entirely with the P"2"W business model.

@Ezio Waduhek? Why not arty? That's one of the biggest offenders I've had recently, I rarely get team damaged, but get splashed far more. In fact the last time I got team damaged by another tank was when I provoked it.

Because otherwise facehugging your enemy so enemy arty can't hit you isn't viable anymore.
