Hi, so I have finished decorating the holiday ops Christmas tree. I still have the discounts for the tier 8, 9 and 10 vehicles. Currently grinding the French heavy tank line. am at the arl 44, fully upgraded. Should I put the discounts on the Amx Mle 54 sub line or the amx 50B?

The AMX M4 54 is as good as its going to get on that line. You're better off investing in the AMX 50B, which isn't going to be redundant anytime soon...

...until they introduce the Russian autoloader heavy tank line anyways.

50B, I thought on the other line the 9 was better than the 10?

For its tier, yeah. The M4 54 had so little improvements over the M4 51 that the M4 51 is more fun and more win-ny.

Maybe if WG modeled the M4 54 to use the flat hull front of the M4 45 but with that historical 280mm raw thickness (i.e. no cheeks) then the M4 54 would've been better.

A lot of the answers seem to be go for the 50b. I think I’ll go for the 50b. But firstly, how difficult is the amx 50b? And the tanks before it? Thanks!

Summary: Autoloader heavies with no armor and poor gun dep.

How difficult is the line? Well it forces you to rethink how to play engagements, with a clip that takes 3s to load its next shell. So you can clip 2-3 shots into a heavy, or 1-2 shots into a med without return fire if you time your approach right. The 50/100 at tier 8 has a MT gun, the 50/120 and 50B have relatively hard hitting NATO 120 guns, so whatever you learnt at tier 8 you can apply at tier 8/X with deadlier efficiency.
