Advances VS Clan Wars lobby.

I dunno if it bugs anyone else...

for clan wars...select your tank from your carosel...click the ready button top of the screen.

Advances....select tank from a drop down....and the ready button is in the window....

why o why are there two different mechanics for the 2 modes...its confusing for newer players. Consistency please....


in advances there is a minimap the caller can ping in the lobby....and none in Clan wars....please add...its a handy feature.


Also to save a TON of work....can we have an option to filter for "battles during the last CW season" ...the filters for last 7/28/overall is interesting...but for clans that pay out their gold based on Clan Wars battles it would be handy....perhaps even a record of those who are in the lobby(but dont play) would be great(if possible) ....NZAD(and Im sure others) bases our gold payout rates on turning up and readying up(whether you play or not).

agree to all. Except CW battles played, you can record on a spreadsheet as each day goes by, would be too specific for WG to make a record for each season.

tekno, agree on almost all points and I applaud you for rewarding all who turn up. How does it work at NZAD? We considered that approach at REIGN, but found it never gained traction as;
a) Not all attendees at all battles were recorded
b) We wouldn't consider members turning up 2mins before a fight a great indication of their dedication considering we were getting full teams right on the drop


I see where you're going with getting a bunch of easy figures for an end-of-season payout, but there are disadvantages to that approach. Rainbow is right on the spreadsheet though, which can be managed with varying degrees of detail depending on what you want from it. REIGN maintains a fairly detailed Personnel Register, which helps us assess our clan demographics, clan activity attendance and individual improvement over prescribed reference periods. It's a fair bit of work but I'm happy to do it to facilitate a more intimate understanding of the member base. We also note each members total GM battles at the start of the season, so we know how many everyone has done at the outset of the season (or when they join us, if they've joined us mid-season). In order to ensure all eligible battles are paid out, payout events are undertaken every 21-28 days, depending on the length of the season. There are a couple of advantages to this:
a) We noticed in the last two seasons that we had members who were very active at the front end of the season, but not so much at the back, and vice versa. An end-of-season payout would mean that members who may have dropped back for legitimate reasons late in the season may be ineligible for gold payments.
b) More payout events over discrete periods means that payouts will be higher for more successful periods of the season, and lower where the teams didn't perform as well.

we run a spreadsheet currently...

and printscreen is your friend....

but yes I agree showing up late is rather poor form....along with the join->instant bail <cough> tools

usually we start loading the team at about 10mins to go...
